Doing some 50/50 Erin Go Bragh Irish Whiskey & SV Bourbon Whiskey. They have been blended together for more than a year and it has taken on a character of it's own. Together they have mellowed and provide a very satisfying experience... Using a reworked and refurbed no-name while doing up the last of my peppers...
@motie2 Tnx brother. I managed to pick them the last day before our first frost. That's it for this year, but have enough jars to last until next years spring... 😁
Addressed to those of you who have been able to try Exotic Passion (aka Exotic Orange):
How might it compare to Cup O' Joes #6 Skookum, as I can't seem to acquire the Exotic blends "A pure Virginia mixture made with the highest Virginia grades, blended and aged. A delicious natural Virginia flavor with a light sweetness and very slight notes of orange and lemon. Made in Germany." https://www.cupojoes.com/cup-o-joes-6-skookum-50g-tin/
Expect the weather to get progressively worse, so I took of advantage in the 50 degree weather we had today, and sat outside and smoked three bowls of Lane Limited "Wild Hare" while listening to my new IQ double CD "Resistance". The music was great and the smoke even better. Gave my Peterson Jekyll & Hyde pipe a real work out. As the day wore on the temperature continued to drop. Suppose to be in the 30s' tomorrow.
@ghostsofpompeii Same here Joe.....It was in the 50's here at the Jeresey Shore and beautiful today. Supposed to get cold tonight, colder tommorow night, then windy and cold with winterlike temps. About and houra ago I smoked a bowl of well rested 1Q in a Yellobowl Briar. Not bad, but very "white bread" if you know what I mean. A bit of tongue bite, and a tad of schmutz in the bottom when I cleaned the bowl out.
I'm smoking some Maltese Falcon in a no name basket pipe Half the name is cut off the stummel and it has a brown acrylic bit. It won't win any beauty contests but it smokes great.
Why so many? How many are in your rotation currently? I am assuming that includes retirees. I have a MM Cob that is over 50 years old that I have smoked since 1965 or so.....almost dark brown but a real keeper. I also have about 7 more some of which are in reserve.
Celebrating my 58th. Birthday and my 37th. with the pipe by smoking the very real pipe I purchased back in 1983, a Ben Wade freehand with some PS Luxury Bullseye.
Hello Pipe and Tobacco Aficionados, it's been a min. Well, I will share that I have a blend that I have heard and read about but never tried. Moving into the holiday season I am trying the "L. J. Peretti's Thanksgiving Day" blend. I will try this blend in my Peterson Deluxe XL5s and looking forward to the smoke. In this part of the country it is cold, damp and cloudy today. If you have tried this blend, how do you feel about it, please share. As always, I thank the pipe and tobacco family on this site and remember, "Smoke what you like. :-)

Perhaps a 150th Anniversary Edition, rather than a 150th MM cob?
Yeah, yeah because I cannot for the life of me imagine 150 MM Cobs.....due to my training I am too literal I guess
Again, enjoy...
Happy Birthday......have a great smoke
Take a few puffs for me...
