Down in my pipe room getting ready to load up some Dulce de Leche in an alligator for after supper... Need to take advantage of the nice weather for as long as I can...
@RockyMountainBriar. Alas, I have a few pipes on the work table getting some needed attention. Don't tempt me with more pipe purchases. My wife already gives me the stink-eye every time she walks past my little room. 😬
@pwkarch Long story short, check out the PIPE STORAGE thread where I posted what you see in the background of my pic.
It's a lot easier than me "long-handing" the information brother, and who knows, you might even be able to improve those projects if you deem it worthwhile...
@pwkarch I also had 2 pipes while serving. One pipe I carried with me, the other one stayed at base camp. The one I carried fell on hard times the same time I did, if you catch my meaning. With 3 weeks till I was to head to the mainland for discharge, we caught mortar fire that left us all scrambling. Let me close this little account by saying, I was lucky my base camp pipe and I were separated because my pipe didn't make it... but I did... 🙏 And this will be the last time I will refer to that time of my life here at TPL. Life's too short to dwell on stuff that does one no good... Sorry guys if that was a downer... I apologize...
@KA9FFJ - not a downer at all. Thanks for sharing and on behalf of a grateful nation (and TPL), thank you for your service to our nation, as well as all the other Vets that find a home at TPL. Very thankful for all of you.
KA9FFJ Enough said.......I am with you, certain things in personal histories are best not relived. Semper fi. Did you make that cabinet and the pipe shelves? Your photos taken in your garage, showing your workshop area ar awesome, so squared away and clean. I have a decent workshop in nmy basement utit isalways cluttered with 15 projects of some sort in various stages of completion. I have made several pipe racks of varying wood species. My current "obsession" is making pipe tampers from various wood species such as Holly, Atlantic White Cedar, Rose of Sharon, and other kind of unusual woods. I have been using spent .45 casings for the bases which look nice. One day I will send one your way.
@pwkarch No, I didn't make them. I took pieces already made and refurbed, modified and refinished them to be functional for pipe storage. Again, read through PIPE STORAGE thread and you'll see what I'm talking about... Sorry for off topic brothers...
Decided it was too windy outside and I did not want to stare at the walls in the garage, so I gonna fire up this little no-name Canadian with some G. L. Pease “Temple Bar” inside tonight. It’s good to be the king.
Currently having a condor moment with Condor Plug in my Country Gentleman. I have to say, if I lived in the UK, I'd definitely be a Condor smoker. It reminds me of the Lakelands I adore so much. There's definitely some strength to it, but I like it.
I'm having tea with Captain Black classic in a Missouri Meerschaum.
After a few days of rain the leaves are beginning to turn. Captain Black is tasting really good after giving it a little break. It's good for even a heavy favorite to have some rest occasionally lest your palette becomes jaded and you lose the enjoyment of the smoke.
@Ron191 Thanks for the inspiration, I am smoking some RLP-6 in my Country Gent. There is a reason I have a pound of it on hand always (If RLP-6 is not CB regular, it’s close enough for me)🙂

Samookin some RLP6 in my Rossi Rubio bent on a beautiful day.

I can see some empty spaces in that pipe rack....hmm...more pipes needed
Did you by chance make those pipe rack / cabinets in that beautiful garage workshop of yours?
When I was in the Navy I carried 2 pipes with me all around the World. Did you do the same while in the Corps?
Now, what to do with ‘em?

By the way, nice pipe...
This is the perfect time of year. It's not 100 degrees anymore!
