I know aromatics seem to be looked down upon by many people in the pipe community, but I for one enjoy them. I don't even need a fancy brand of tobacco either. My go to smoke for years has been Super Value Vanilla. I love the stuff.
I just opened up some H&H and smoked it for the first time and expected the medicine/cherry flavor everyone talks about and to me it has a smell and taste of cranberry...
right now I'm in the house so not smoking. This morning....PS Luxury Navy Flake with a big cup of Pete's coffee in my giant FLH egg shaped thing and listened to the latest Pipes Magazine Radio Show on the commute. The only way to deal with the traffic!
My go-to tobaccos are two that are blended for me by The Country Squire Tobacconist in Jackson, Ms. One is named Senior Chief and was the blend of the month for the Country Squire last August. The other is named Lighthouse Keeper.
Lately I've been smoking samples samples damples from the Chicago pipe show, love free tobacco! Yesterday I smoked C&D Bayou Morning, excellent stuff. Today will be some Standard Tobacco samples. My go to lately has been McClellands 2015 VaPer flake, probably one of my favorites.
I've been working outside this morning in preparation of our Mother's Day BBQ. Smoking some Edward G. Robinson in a Missouri Meerscham Cobbit - the Shire.
