37 degrees, cold here. @PappyJoe, you are a brave man, but I guess the sea gets you used to the weather, eh? Just had Peterson's Old Dublin in a homemade churchwarden. Sweet!
No smoking yet today......just getting over pneumonia.
5.6 degrees (windchill) with 18.7 degrees actual temperature right now. 18" of snow on the ground, going nowhere really fast. Temperature predicted to be 0 degrees to as much as -5 degrees tonight (actual not windchill).
The wind is the killer today (and yesterday). Winter at the New Jersey shore.
@PappyJoe That's a hard resolution to keep. I'm having considerable trouble with it myself. I'll probably amend it to tins I currently have opened rather than one specific tin. I know I have more than one tin opened, so I keep still keep part of the resolution intact by not opening anything new until all the previously opened tins are used up. And still experience the joy of variety.
Having a bowl of Seattle Pipe Club's Potlatch in my Stanwell Liverpool pipe. The weather in Chicago finally warmed up a bit, so I can smoke my pipe with my laptop in the garage without it shutting down from the cold.
Weather went to 63 degrees F here today, what a joy to be able to stand outside and have a bowl of Country' Squire's Pirate's Alley in my homemade churchwarden. Last week I tried it and it was so cold I couldn't get much flavor out of it. Much better today.
Suppose to get up to 58 tomorrow. I see at least 1 bowl, if not 2 coming my way. This time of year in the St. Louis area, you have to take advantage of every decent day you get. Especially since we just found out that by Sunday it going down to 8 degrees!...
The weather is in the upper 20's lower 30's here in upper Illinois. While its still not in my preferred pipe weather of the 50's, I'll take it to the sub zero temps we had last week.
