Loire Valley in a reworked Paronelli. This blend touts raspberries and mangoes. The raspberries... so so, but the mangoes come through pretty good. A good tasty blend...
After a simple dinner of scrambled eggs and roasted new potatoes I'm enjoying GLP Abingdon in an MM Riverboat Gambler with a forever stem and a glass of sweet vermouth.
Smoking some of the Wilke “Maple Spice” in my Rattray’s Distillery for ‘dessert’ this evening. Yep, once the initial maple flavor burns off, this stuff is pretty darn tasty👍🏻
18 this morning (cart cover weather here), then I had a choice: Either help the wife prepare for the family gathering at our house, or she would change the locks on the doors the next time I left to play golf... After thinking for a second, but no more than 2, I felt it in my best interest to assist her any way I could with the preparations. Now that my obligations have been fulfilled, I'm enjoying some Tinderbox After Dinner in a restemmed Calabrest...
@KA9FFJ I’m not married, but it seems like you made the right choice. Besides the door lock change, your pipe might have been stuffed somewhere you might have trouble sitting down😬
@KA9FFJ Others on TPL seem to be getting the cold for a change..brr. It’s been up in the mid 50’s around here🙂. I think there is some white frosty stuff predicted for us in the near future though.
After dinner smoke is GLP Abingdon in an MM Boone with spiced rum and apple cider.
I was in charge of the dump run and got the job of taste and smell testing tomorrow's feast. Just got a taste of the cornbread being used in the dressing.
@RockyMountainBriar I’m not saying it isn’t worth it but that’s too rich for me. Also smoking one for you tonight. A little bowsers castle in the refinished Dr. Grabow bent bulldog. So much Latakia.
Last night on the other hand was parsons blend which is an aromatic like I’ve been looking for. Reviews to come eventually.
Happy Thanksgiving! The turkeys, chickens, rabbits, cats, dog and me have all had breakfast. I'm relaxing with an MM Bent Apple Diplomat filled with GLP Abingdon and a cup of coffee.
Good Morning! Chores are done and the sun is shining! Starting off with GLP Abingdon in a bent MM Apple Diplomat along with a k-cup of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee.
@RockyMountainBriar My dad brought that home for me, he worked at Logan Airport and would find things left behind or dropped. After the holding period in Lost and Found the finder had first dibs. He also brought me home a leather tobacco pouch the I used for years.
Yesterday we golfed in pretty chilly weather. I was able to get in 2 bowls of Frankenblend in an old MM cob. A few of our guys are into their 80s. Paul is 84, and always shows up when we're playing! It's very rare, but sometimes he gets just a little mixed up. For example, when wearing your sock hat with your hat, their is a correct sequence in putting them on. This is NOT it...😏
Tonight is Northwest Trek by the country squire. Really nice hybrid English. I’d say it’s about as good as Countryside by Boswells and that’s a compliment.
also got around to my bag of blue ribbon which is a delightful blue/blackberry aromatic from country squire. I also tried their figgy pudding and while it isn’t bad it is my least favorite so far and by far.
only thing left to try from that haul is hunting creek another hybrid English.

There are a lot of us here who enjoy our cobs from time to time, so you're in good company...
A good tasty blend...
That tobak sounds kinda tasty🙂
I love that “sandstone” stem.
That's a pretty pipe, Brother.

For obvious reasons, I will not be showing the above post to my better half...😬

Started golf at 10. Temp was 43°.
Finished at 1:35. Temp was... 43°
No, that's not a type-O...
