I’m smoking one of the first tobacco’s I ever tried and really enjoyed…along with BCA and RLP-6. I have the Falcon meer loaded with some Newminster No. 47 “Danish Black”. It’s still tasty stuff and burning without fault…..mmm.
@opipeman An old man I knew when I was in my 20s said, "From the moment the doctor slaps you on your ass, you start dying. What matters is making sure you live the best you can until your body says it's time to go."
Well it's time for "El Monstro"! It's a noname stummel I acquired from the pipe show that I reworked the mortise and restemmed. Doing some Peter Stokkebye 24 Nougat...
@Whoispra I like to smoke Nougat from time to time. I don't think I have that refined a palate, I get some chocolate and vanilla flavor from this one. Honestly I'm not even sure what Nougat is. 😂 It's a good everyday smoke, not strong.
Finished mowing and burned a bowl of Ole Shanandoah "Fuzzy Schnapps" in me Savinelli Deluxe Milano 622KS. First PBR I've had in a couple of years. I don't know what was better the tobac, the PBR or that I was done mowing.
@mfresa i've been thinking about trying to get a rossi 8320 or 8321. What is your opinion on the author shape? I worry the dang bowl will be so big I rarely get time to savor the whole thing.
@Whoispra, the bowl really isn't that big, it's a medium sized pipe. There are probably various opinions as to what type of tobacco (flake, cake, ribbon cut, etc.) works best with it. It's not really deep, but it is a bit larger in bowl circumference than some other styles. I say get one, you will find something that goes well with it. They don't offer a long smoke, but a nice one while it lasts. Rossi is a good pick.
@Whoispra For me, 24 Nougat is definitely vanilla based, with just a HINT of chocolate coming through now and then. Nothing overpowering. It is a mild and pleasant blend, IMHO...
@Whoispra You might take a look at bowl dimensions, the Savinelli 321/ Rossi 8321 is not a large pipe. I have a Savinelli 320KS and it does not seem overly large. The Savinelli Tundra 320 EX on the other hand is a large pipe.
@Montecristo I was thinking about it….until I saw the price per tin and the fact that they were pulling the old 1.5oz. instead of 2oz. (25% less tobacco in the tin trick)…which increases the price even more. Skeezy Bastards!

That M meer has a nice patina🙂
True it is, Brother. I guess the best thing to do is to not draw any attention to oneself.
Some men grow wise with age and others just grow old. Either way you win, if you at least grow old.

You are correct. It is the blend used in the LOTR movies.
I personally can't say it's my favorite, but at least in the top 10 for me...
