Another beautiful day here in NC, some 77+ degrees of greatness. So, with that, I am saaaamokin some LL7 with a pint of Carolina Brewings Sky Blue ale in my blue Monlina. Such a good pairing!!
@mfresa how was it. I really enjoy all the blends I’ve bought from The Country Squire. Those dudes really know what they’re doing and they seem like solid people as well. Enjoy supporting their business.
@Praider8, definitely enjoyable, though not as potent taste-wise as some other English blends I have tried. Has a bit of burley in it, which gives a lot of smoke, and takes the edge off of any harshness that might otherwise be present. If you want a mild English, this is a good one.
Did some Lane Dark Red blend today. So far I haven't formed an opinion on this particular blend. First time for me, thinking about mixing some P.S. French Vanilla with the Dark Red.
I do love the Lane Dark Red as well. A neat "frankenblend" is using equal parts Dark Red and Sutliff Chocolate Mousse......tastes and smells like a Chocolate Covered Cherry. I have also used Pallladin Black Cherry and Chocolate Mousse (the CM "tames" the Palladin).
@pwkarch, Thank you for the combinations, right now I'm fresh out of CM, maybe I'll just hold on to the Dark Red till I acquire some CM. Haven't had much luck with Peter S aromatic blends, the French Vanilla didn't have much of a taste to it that I could detect, it seems to be a blend ripe for mixing with something.
@Londy3 No fair, 83 degrees? it's up to 14F right now...the high for the day. It was -9 when I went to work this morning and suppose to stay above 0F tonight Then back down to -9 or so the rest of the week....and so it goes. I still don't want to move anywhere warmer
@RockyMountainBriar, I do like CO...been there and loved it. I was a professor at CoTech in the springs. You do have radical shifts in weather but the view is absolutely spectacular!
@Londy3 For cryin' out loud, it's FEBRUARY! It should be against the law for anyone to be sitting outside, in 83 degree weather, wearing shades, and partaking the briar... It's just not natural...
@Londy3 I’m not sure if your comment about CO was about where I live, or just being in the general vicinity.? Just thought I would point out that I am in Montana🙂. Colorado is probably similar though.
Running errands this evening and the temp is dropping fast to single digits again, @Londy3 , I say enjoy it when ever you can, and as they say, location, location, location and maybe a bit of luck.
Bought a new Stanwell Amber 15 and thought I'd test drive it with some C&D London Squire.
Ha ha ha...not really rubbing it in but it's nice to be able to wear shorts and a polo in February. Making coffee this morning and it's already 63 degrees...going to upper 70s again. Going to sit outside with my coffee and maybe have a morning pipe too.

"Click" Salute y'all!
As has already been pointed out, BCA and RLP-6 -- mixed-- is better than either blend by itself.....
