@KA9FFJ It is actually already posted in “have you made your own pipe”, but I will find the pics and post them again. When I first made it, it was a bit taller of bowl. I decided to take 1/4” off the top. I wish I had left it taller now.🙁
Having my last pipe for probably a week, due to the frigid weather about to hit my area. Enjoying a bowl of C&D's Poplar Camp in my Nording Freehand. Not gonna lie, it's cold out here.
Thanks @RockyMountainBriar for sharing... AGAIN. Sorry, I was thinking that perhaps this was another of your creations ( that's what I get for thinking).... 😊 BEAUTIFUL PIPE!
Needless to say, I'm smokeless today... Yes, that's -1° (1 BELOW ZERO) in the St. Louis area. Officially it is colder than my indoor/outdoor thermomter... Maybe tomorrow...
Had a doctors appointment this morning which allowed me to smoke two bowls (one each way) if it wasn't for driving I'd be SOL to smoke my pipe because it was -21 outside; I take the back roads and drive slowly.
Smoked a bowl of Capt Earl's 10 Russians on the way to the appointment and a bowl of Capt Earl's Reflections on the return, got a theme going here.
On a side note. this probably the safest day of the year in Chicago
Pinched a nerve in my neck causing sever pain under the scapula and down my right arm and due to the opiate knee jerk my internist really doesn't want to prescribe anything stronger than aspirin.
I would have gone to the emergency room but since 30K worth of health insurance only gets you a 6K deductible and I'm certain they would have hit me for 3 or 4K. so I got to suffer.
In a nut shell my chiropractor has finally gotten things to move and I am improving albeit slowly.
I know you a very familiar with how our current healthcare system is working (not)
Oh, sorry to hear that. I have had pinched nerves, and once I had actually had a "crushed" nerve in my lower back. It was explained to me that some folks just have narrow openings in the spinal column where the nerves branch out to everything in your body. The MOST GOD AWFUL pain in the world. That was back in the day when they just kept throwing pain killer after pain killer at me. Despite that I spent a month in pure agony before the neurosurgeon would operate. It finally resulted in surgery and lots of rehab (I still have back and leg issues to this day). I have "severe" Spinal Stenosis which "they" are waiting for me to agree to a titanium rod in my back connecting 5 vertebrae together to stabilize 3 ("fusion"), and it is not going to happen as far as I am concerned (too old, too many other issues). I feel for you, I know how debilitating nerve pain can be. Consider yourself on my prayer list.
C&D's Jolly Old Saint Nicholas in whatever shape this Carey is..... (-10 pts -- ending sentence with a verb) Perhaps a squat Dublin sitter? Thick walls; cool smoke.
FrogonaLog in my new “Trombone” pipe. (Since I play trombone I HAD to get it.) The eBay seller thought it may be made by Barling since the EB on the silver band was often used on Barling pipes. I believe the stem is a replacement since it doesn’t really align correctly. Has anyone heard of this pipe?

No problem, you’re welcome, and thank you.
I do need to get a couple more blocks some vulcanite rod and try a few more.

After doc, you ok?

Are there any other markings on the pipe?
