Looking forward to enjoying one of my Christmas presents. My folks found these two tins in my local b&m. They’re from early and mid 2017, so the aging has already begun!
I recently acquired a vintage glossy black 'The Pipe' from an antique store for a decent price ... and it looks brand new. So I've been breaking it in with a variety of Christmas blends. Just last night I had three consecutive bowls of Christmas blends beginning with "Corn Cob Pipe And Button Nose", "Jolly Old Saint Nick", and Hearth & Home "Egg Nog". Watched the George C Scott version of "A Christmas Carol" last night and plan on watching the Alistair Simms version tonight.
Smoking Amphora Match Full Aroma in my Peterson Outdoor Natural #124 with some Tea Time after my “Repurposed Tin Demo” I just posted. Note to self: Don’t try to blow out a lighter flame while a lit pipe is still in my mouth. Hot ash everywhere😳
Tonight, saaamokin some two friends bed and breakfast in my Rossi Rubino billard. With a woodford old fashioned. Wow, first impressions of this..very complicated!!
@ghostsofpompeii, The Alister Simms version of A Christmas Carol is still my favorite as far as that movie goes, However, no complaints about George C. Scotts version.
@ghostsofpompeii Joe I love the different treatments of most of the versions. I LOVE the George C. Scott version the most myself. The scene where he wipes away the light snow covering his headstone in the cemetery and reacts with pure fear to the "Ghost of Christmas Future" always sends chills up my spine. I suppose the only one thing missing in that version is the "cockney" accents so prevalent in the earlier versions.
I tried Sutliff Cinnamon Delight with BCA mixed 50/50 at lunch today and found the combination nice. The hint of cinnamon from the Sutliff and the hint of chocolate and vanilla from the BCA is nice. this was an extremely mild flavor, but it still had definite flavors. I am trying some new things and think this was a nice experiment.
So a buddy of mine I used to work the same shift with had to cover on my shift today. We both got promoted to Staff Sergeant on opposite shifts so we don't get to see each other much anymore... Anyway with him working on my shift today I took an extra pipe and he tried both Barbados Plantation and and Christmas Spice... Needless to say I have turned him into a pipe smoker lol
Kramer's Father Dempsey in my Chris Morgan Bones pipe paired with a Bundaberg Ginger Beer..... may i say... it was an AMAZING pairing. I HIGHLY recommend it.
Shared some Jolly Old St. Nicholas and McClelland's Holiday Spirit (2017) with my oldest son yesterday. Will be sharing the same with our second son over the next couple of days. If I have any of those tins left after New Years Eve, it will go into mason jars to wait for next year.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
So good.
This will be my third mission with the "Moose".
