Currently smoking some G&H's Kendal Plug in my Charles Towne cob. I hope G&H resupplies their blends soon, as I have only enough for one more bowl of this blend.
I just had some 7 Seas Black Blend MAC BAREN , also got a tin 4th Generation 1957 Erik Michaels Blend. Bought this blend to try something different and the price was right. Can't make heads or tails out of this blend. No doubt won't be buying again. I proceeded to mix it with Chocolate Mousse.
I Just ordered 2 and 3 ounce lots of various tobaccos from Pipes and Cigars. It has taken me since Christmas to make decisions on how to spend a P&C gift card. These are partially tobacco types that would normally be out of my sphere of interest. I am going to experiment with these so as to possibly broaden my horizons. I didn't order anything from outer space, just some Latakia and Perique forward types, and a couple of aromatics in which I have had interest when just scrolling on the tobacco sites over the last few months.
And I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a VERY Happy, Healthy, and Blessed New Year.
@pipeman83, saw the pins on your vest in the last picture you posted. How did you the This Pipe Life pin and what is the other gold one with a pipe in the middle?
Smoking so Arango Balkan Sobrani in the new Peterson 303, I have to say I really love this pipe, smokes great and its the perfect size for a smoke during a commute.
Not quite yet, but I have a 55 year old MM CC filled with Lane Vanilla Black Cavendish ready to go as the initial 2019 tobacco incineration. And it is 63 degrees in southern New Jersey, and if that is not smoking weather I don,t know what is.
I think all of Sutliff's line that either have "Black" or "Spicy" in their names are very good. I will admit that some are very similar, but all very tasty and great smokes....
Capt Black original. Always my favorite especially since Flying Dutchman is no more. No matter what else I try, keep coming back to original Capt. Black. Not impressed by high priced “botique named blends”.
@motie2, Well the Black Kathy blend seems to have a Vanilla taste to it, mild and nice room note. The taste is similar to a couple other Sutliff blends such as 999-Nine. Much better than Sutliff Vanilla Latte, and Sutliff Vanilla Royal. Have to agree with @ pwkarch, any Sutliff blends with the name Black or Spicy in the blend are goof. Also thinking about mixing up a small bag of Black Kathy and Vanilla Custard and see what happens Also the Black Kathy seems similar to Lane Vanilla Black Cavendish, hope I didn't throughly confuse you.

Not the greatest pic... but some Maple St with some Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey.
