Celebrating Cob Tuesday tonight with LJ Peretti's Thanksgiving Cake in my Country Gentleman Cob. Thankfully, I still have plenty of "leftovers" to smoke.
A relatively warm day, bright and sunny. Put on a hoodie and smoked two bowls on the rear deck: one of my blessed Barbados Plantation and a second of C&D's Jolly Old Saint Nicholas.
Yesterday, using the dual exhaust window fan I bought from eBay ($30.00), I was able to smoke a bowl of BCA mixed 50/50 with RLP-6 indoors. I think I'm going to add the mix to my regular stock: BP, JOSN, MD, VBC, the BCA and RLP-6. This is all due to the influence of TPL and several of you who have sought to broaden my horizons. Thank you.
@motie2 That Jolly Old St NIck is a mighty fine tabak, it currently ranks in my top 3. Today I'm smoking a gift of Capstan Navy cut, I heard it was a favorite blend of JRR Tolkien.
Did a mix of Carter Hall and Sutliff Chocolate Mousse, also had some Russ Snow Drift, RSD is a fine blend. For those of you that haven't tried it, give it a whirl.
Currently having the last bowl of my Erinmore Flake in my Kaywoodie Zulu. Kinda forgot about this tin, but after this smoke, I might have to order some more of it.
I have only smoked Lane VBC. In fact I just smoked some the other day, and I have a Medico Briar filled and sitting in front of me here jut waiting to be smoked.
Sounds as though you are on the mend....thank God. I on the other hand still have along road ahead of me, but I am not giving up.
Stay healthy and have a Blessed Christmas my friend. I still pray for you.
Right now I'm finishing one cigar, but late will smoke a bowl of Captain Black Dark (BCA). Have thinking about to get some Dulce de Leche and Chocolate Mousse both from Sutliff. Any idea about how they taste and rate of burn will be appreciate.
Sitting back enjoying a bowl of Esoterica Penzance after finishing trimming and putting lights on this years Christmas tree.
Each year we go up on the border of Wisconsin and Illinois and cut a fresh tree and as luck would have it my kids found a Concolor Fir that's really too big for our house but I was out voted.
The upside is that if there were an award for best smelling tree, this variety would probably win. Sort of a mixture of an orange citrus and the usual fir smell and its quite strong so the whole house smells good.
@motie2, Like both Sutliff BVC and Lane VBC, I feel the Lane blend is a little bit more aromatic and a bit more room note on the pleasant side. If I had to choose between the both of them,Lane VBC has an edge.
If it is not already illegal to mix those 3, it should be. That should be a wonderful experience. Please review it when you are done and return from Nirvana.
I had already mixed the RLP-6 and the BCA 50/50. Together they made for a great smoke; better, I think, than either one by itself.
Anyway, I added the VBC 50/50 to the RLP-6/BCA mix. The result was mild and pleasant tasting, with a room note, I, the smoker could enjoy. Large volume of smoke; dry to the heel; fine white ash; no bite.

Highly recommended combo.
