Star of the East flake in my Savinelli 606. Way too big a bowl for how heavy this stuff is. Feels like I got punched the face with Latakia. Rookie mistake as I am pretty new to English blends.
Just finished a bowl of Sutliff Cream Brûlée and Sutliff Sunset Rum,both were outstanding.Glad I picked up on these blends you guys talk about. What is even more outstanding is the fact I ordered these blends from P&C Friday night and considering mail wasn't sent out on Saturday because of Veterans Day, imagine my shock when it was delivered today.Good job P&C.
@buflosab You obviously have good taste.........both of those are so very good. Try some Sutliff Vanilla Custard, and some Sutliff Chocolate Mousse......great straight, great cut with some Carter Hall.
I have tried both the Vanilla Custard and the Chocolate.Mousse on your recommendation I might add, As was stated on another post,I'm just getting out of the habit of smoking the same blends all the time. So I read what you guys like and eventually give them a try.Not many disappointments thus far. Thanks to all.
How is that MacBarren Scottish Blend? I have had a tin sitting here for about 6 months or so, never having gotten around to as much as even popping the lid. At some point I read a review that led me to order a tin. I am usually just an aromatic smoker but this was as I remember listed as a "light aromatic".
@pwkarch I have MacBaren's Scottish Blend, and while I don't smoke it every week, I'll purchase more when my supply runs out. It's not a weak blend by any means, but one I'd say you could smoke all day.
Having a bowl of MacBaren Old Dark Fried in my St. Ives Poker.
The planet shakes at the thought of you moving off of "pure" Barbados Plantation. And that is funny as today I smoked 2 bowls, one Vanilla Custard, one Chocolate Mousse both au naturel WITHOUT Carter Hall. Sat out in the sun and enjoyed both.
Yes, I am truly impressed with the 50/50 mixture of BP and SR, and henceforth I will keep both around for blending. As I clumsily mentioned, here or elsewhere, the 50/50 blend is somehow greater than the sum of its parts, and while SR is Treble, BP is Bass; together: beautiful music........... to me, anyways.

You have to give me a report on that mixture please. I am going to bet it is a winner.
Way beyond a winner. Positively triumphant!!!!!!!!!
