Last night I pulled out my tin of C&D Corn Cob Pipe & Button Nose and enjoyed a bowl in the rather nippy garage. I noticed I'm scrapping the bottom of the tin and might have enough for one more bowl so I plan to finish off the tin tonight. I have one more tin put away for the holidays which I'll probably crack open on Thanksgiving after dinner.
Smoking Sutliff Chocolate Mousse / Carter Hall.........delicious After that, Sutliff Vanilla Custard / Carter Hall.......delisciouser (yeah I know, I can spell)
@jfreedy Where is your beard? Without it you have the look of a Cockney Cabbie enjoy a pint of bitters in a local pub between fares. Nice deep bowl, looks like about an hour smoker.
@Londy3 -- Nice fire pit toast (but I'd rather rum....) and @xDutchx -- a beautiful small pipe: a nice design and a beautifully grained bowl.....
I always wanted a fire pit, but had no good place for it, to have folks sit around. So I bought a chiminea (chimenea?). If it doesn't rain, I'll use it today, hopefully to work as a warmer, keeping me out on the deck longer. OTOH, it's been crazy warm in northern NJ in November.
@motie2, I have some rum here. Just don't know what to do with it. I typically don't mix anything with pop. I drink bourbon neat or over one big ice. I have had this stuff for about 2 years. My brother-in-law drinks it when he visits. Have you had this before?
@Londy3 -- Zaya? Yes, I have. Not my favorite, but rum is rum. The worst rum I ever had was pretty good. (No, actually it was a rum made from sugar cane juice instead of molasses, called 10 Cane or Ten Cane; it was pretty bad.
My top three are: 1) Jonah's Curse Black Spiced Rum 2) Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum 3) Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum (sense a theme?)
All three are moderately priced; there are indeed many better rums for more money. (BTW, the rum world has been awaiting the return of Cuba based Havana Club, instead of Puerto Rican Havan aClub, but with Trump's position on Cuba, that is not gonna happen.)
Also BTW, the Zaya's neighbors reveal that you have excellent taste: Amaretto Di Saronno Originale and noisette and herb-flavored Frangelico liqueur.

There is something very primitive and satisfying about sitting around a fire, and warming ourselves. I believe it takes us back in time, every time we have the experience. I suppose that is why some folks warm themselves by a fire outdoors, even when they have central heat and air indoors. Staring into the flames, while smoking a pipe, is a special experience that is not to be missed.
@motie2, ha ha, sharp eye indeed. Yes, I have some pretty good stuff in my happy hour bar. I'm not one to buy the cheapest of things, but I do like the best I can afford.
@xDutchx, I agree. Again it's the analog way..LOL. sittin round a fire sippin the good spirits and burinin a bowl makes for a nice relaxing night. Can't beat the warmth of a good fire and bourbon. It's the simple things you know.

AND, besides, I have an idea that God himself probably enjoys a pipe.
If I may be so bold, your photo is a classic example of the iconic pipester......
Oh, it was intended as a compliment for sure, I on the other hand look like a sasquatch after income tax (pipe or no pipe).
