I went back to some previously opened tobacco yesterday. Had a bowl of Acadian VaPer in a straight Rinaldo Triad followed by a bowl of Dansk Club Burgundy in my Tim West bent Egg.
Enjoying a break while visiting my wife's brother and a few other members of her family here in Florida. Doing some LL-7 in a T. Christiano Metamorfosi...
After dinner smoke is Kensington in an MM Let Freedom Ring Rob Roy, about to crack open a bottle of wine! I decided to see if Kensington could hold up as an all day smoke, I'm on my fifth consecutive bowl.
I started the day with GLP Westminster in an MM Apple Diplomat and now I'm on to GH Broken Scotch Cake in a Pride. It's a beautiful day to get some gardening done!
Smoked some Esoterica “Tilbury” in my Pete Deluxe Classic 53 this evening. Tasty tobacco, scored and sent to me by a fellow TPL member. Still waiting for the stagecoach to get here with my “géométrie”. I think it may have been transferred to a freighting wagon pulled by mules, or maybe oxen?
I had to run to the feed store first thing this morning, I took an MM Diplomat filled with GLP Westminster along with my coffee for the ride. I made it back for afternoon chores and loaded up some GH Broken Scotch Cake in a Rob Roy. I'm currently brewing a pot of coffee for me and my wife to enjoy when she gets home for work. What to smoke with it?
I decided on some Savinelli 140th Anniversary 1876-2016 tobacco, from 2016, this afternoon. I have it loaded in a Savinelli SPC 20th Anniversary 320KS.
In the past when smoking this Savinelli 140th tobacco, I was not super fond of it. I thought it was kinda harsh. Today it seems sweeter than I remember…then it dawned on me….the ghosts of tobaccos past. I probably smoked some BCA, RLP-6, or maybe some “Espresso” or other sweet aromatic previously in this wide short chamber. It’s just enough to elevate the sweetness of this tobacco and make it better for me. Maybe having six or so years of age on it hasn’t hurt either.
Just a quick tasting note on the C&D “Black Cherry”😖. I think it may be topped with Kirsch-Wasser?
Very Sharp Astringent Not sweet Very slight cherry flavor…maybe? A sort of cherry room note. Overall, Icky👎🏻 I don’t think I will be smoking this crap again any time soon. *ptooy*

@KA9FFJ I went ahead and added that Savinelli to the list as soon as I posted the pic😬
@opipeman C&D “Black Cherry”….definitely not worth the wait, but the C&D “Espresso” was, and (I Think) the G.L. Pease “géométrie” will be worth it too. I’m loading a bowl up now.
Peterson B10 “Rosslare Classic” loaded with the G.L. Pease “géométrie”. This tobacco is definitely better, to the nth power, than that nasty “Black Cherry”. It’s right up my alley…mmmm….tasty. It’s sweeter than I thought it might be, tobacco wise, not from casing or toppings.👍🏻

Concerning that Sav pictured above.:
You ARE keeping a list for me... right?
😏
@RockyMountainBriar
If you like Orientals, tobacco that is, you'll be happier with the GLP géométrie!
I take it that the C&D “Black Cherry" wasn't worth the stage coach wait?
