I'm taking a break in between morning and afternoon chores to enjoy some Sutliff 515 RC-1 and a cup of Kenya single orgin coffee from beans I roasted yesterday.
Pledged to myself after March Meerschaum Madness (MMM), that I would try to use one of my meerschaums at least once a week. I only have 6, so I've been able to honor my pledge so far. In keeping with that pledge, I'm doing some Sutliff Creme Brulee in my Sultan... It was an estate noname that needed to be restemmed. It's block meerschaum and smokes great...
Dix in the Grig. Been organizing the cellar a little. Mostly the crap-ton of samples folks have sent me over the last two years. I really need to just plow through those . . .
Quiet forum today! Trying to chill out with some Boston's Best Cavendish and a cold Vermouth and Sparkling Water. We crested 90 today but with a constant breeze/wind. Hotter tomorrow, I hope the air movement doesn't disappear.
Decided to do some Sutliff Taste of Summer in a GBD Midnight while traveling to and from the local music store to check out some 6 string steel acoustics... Found one... Now if I can only find the money...😏
Waiting for the rain to stop so I can ride my bicycle. Tried my old restemmed "Comoy's" with some "Lane BCA" loaded to the brim. Good pipe, good tobac, good life!
@KA9FFJ A 6 string steel acoustics? What are you going to do, spend your kids inheritance? Think about it this way, you buy it and enjoy it, it will only increase in value, every one wins. If your bride objects, try this line. Its all about spending it forward. It is a selfless act, as only a father can preform. Good luck brother!
Sampled a new blend yesterday by loading a clay pipe with The Jolly Joker. It's made in Germany by Dan Tobacco. It's a aromatic and claims to be flavored with "almonds, nuts/beans and vanilla" according to tobaccoreviews.com. It's a black cavendish/burley/Virginia blend and seasoned with "delicious flavours of marzipan and hazelnut with a whiff of vanilla. Creamy sweet-tinted smoke with a fine note of roasted candied almonds in both taste and smell - a real delight!"
Well, to my nose, I smell the roasted almonds and chocolate covered cherries. Anyway, it is a good smoke.
Needed to upgrade my license to drive larger truck, was at the DMV at 6 am, already a line of people (30 +/-) smoked a bowl of Sutliff Queen Ann's Revenge in a bent Nording spigot.
Tonight's after dinner bowl, C&D Star of the East flake in a smooth Stanwell # 15
Not sure if it’s the new pipe, new tobacco (Stokkebye luxury flake), or my team winning their first ever national championship last night, but everything is great this morning.

Well, when you're my age...... (74) ...... you might see things differently, young fella.
Drinking anything with Dix just sounds so wrong.

Beautiful pipe, brother!

EMP in the evening? I hope you don't shatter the time continuum......
Good pipe, good tobac, good life!

So should the question be "how old am I?" or "how old do I feel?"
Lets just say everything is grey and I feel old.
No one gets out of here alive, and - in my experience - it usually ends badly.
Great to see you!
So what is CH like? I've never had any of the old classics.
