Finishing up a pipefull of English 110 after a homegrown meal of Dorking (an ancient Italian chicken breed) and freshly picked butternut squash. Dessert was an apple off the tree.
Smoking some Drucquer & Sons Trafalgar in a Stanwell # 15 while working on my pick up truck and thinking I getting too old for this but I'm too parsimonious to let someone else do it.
After a little painting and yard watering, I'm enjoying the last of Sutliff Barbados Plantation in a reworked noname... I'll be adding that blend to my list...
It was our pipe club meeting tonight and one of our members is also the Arrango sales rep for the area,
So he brought with him this evening 30 Erik Stokkebye 4th generation pipes ( which are made by Neerup but the basic shapes are not like Neerup's) They were absolutely gorgeous and if you bought one you got a leather messenger's style pipe bag and 4 of the larger promotional tins of the
4th generation tobacco, A pretty good deal at $250. It was more than I wanted to spend as I'm saving my spare coin for a new TV.
On the upside, My wife came with me tonight to hang with one of my club brother's wife (who smokes cigars) that she's friends with and she was over at the table with all the pipes and other Stokkebye stuff, so she may have bought me something for my b-day (I hope)
Did I mention that besides bring the pipes and all the other Stokkebye stuff he brought Erik Stokkebye himself. Nice guy, was fun.
So we did get to sample a new Virginia Flake that is supposed to be released in the next couple months, I believe it's called 4th generation 2012; I was actually surprised at how good it was, as straight virginias are not usually my thing.
It was explained the most of the tobacco in the blend was aged 10 years which might explain why it was so good.
He'll be a way for a couple of weeks, but Max Stokkebye usually comes to the Friday evening Virtual Pipe Club. Nice, well informed guy; you should meet him!!!
@jfreedy I enjoy Dunhill Flake as well. I have the new Peterson version in rotation right now and don't enjoy it as much, might be the lack of age. Any opinion?
Smoking some Newminster No. 403 “Superior Round Slices” in a Savinelli Long John #514. Also sipping some straight up Evan Williams Black Label Bourbon. I bought the little pewter stein for “Stein Night” with the guys....I’m not a big fan of beer and wanted to “blend in”...and wanted to keep the greedy flies from drinking my whiskey😬. I also have the short ceramic stein for mixed or on-the-rocks drinking on “Stein Night”🙂

You mean like this...
You are correct, sir.
See the English Aromatic folder. CEC is the crossover blend I’ve been looking for, for almost a year.

A different smoke, every time....... Delightful crossover with Latakia and Perique as condiments.
