@RockyMountainBriar A Google search reveals as you might expect, quite a few bars called The Office or At the Office.
Interestingly, my brother lives on the last island (northern ) that forms the Inside Passage in Alaska, He has two different places he lives there and one of them called Hoonah, the largest town on the Island Population 788 has a bar called The Office.
What makes this bar unique if that frequently one of the employee's will be tending a 4' diameter cast iron pot out over a wood fire in front of the bar cooking king crab, fun place
@mapletop. Yeah I think a lot of towns have a bar called the office, pretty common actually. But the 4' iron skillet is cool. Sounds like a great place.
@PappyJoe Scotch instead of Vermouth? That’s not a Martini, it’s a cocktail of some sort, but not a Martini. A Martini is Dry Gin, Dry Vermouth and an olive, no stinking Vodka either (damn those James Bond films and Smirnoff). What can I say, I’m a traditionalist when it comes to a Martini 🙂.
@PappyJoe I am not a fan of Scotch or Vodka, but maybe like the “WTF ever” I might like Gin..or even Vodka with a hint of Scotch....I’d try it🙂. No, I am going to try it....the next time I am around some inexpensive Scotch and Vodka/Gin, no Scotch in my personal liquor selection. I do enjoy my Luksusowa Polish potato vodka though.
Had a great homemade dessert from the SWMBO after supper tonight (strawberry pie). Now settling in with some 75/25 Tinderbox Peach Melba / Lane BCA in a Smokers Haven... very tasty...
My my tastebuds were calling for something different to smoke but instead of digging deeper into my cellar, I decided to try a new tin. I opened some Vauen Auenland -The Shire and loaded it into my new Cutty. I like it. I get a combination of peach, orange and vanilla with just a hint of grassiness from the Virginias. As an aromatic, it’s lighter than Exotic Passion but just as tasty in my opinion. I’ll buy more of it.
Celebrating my 30th wedding anniversary with McClelland's 40th anniversary virginia flake. Amazing stuff!! Hope to smoke some more of it 10 years from now :-)
@mfresa; Congratulations! I don't have to tell you how fortunate you are to have a bride that tolerates a Pipe Smoker, especially for thirty years. My wife and I will celebrate 55 years in July. We both have a couple of gems.
@mfresa; In order to have a long and happy marriage it takes a lot of patience, compromise, understanding, tolerance, and forgiveness. My wife even had to work at it a little

Salute to all mom pipe smokers!
Celebrating with some cigar box Malbec and LL7 in my special Savinelli Piazza di Spanga.
Now relaxing with some Mark Twain memoir in my Savinelli.
