@thebadgerpiper -- I agree that LLRR is different, and I think that's why I like it better than similar codger blends like Carter Hall. Not most days, but some days it's all I want to smoke. Strange.
@buflosab I have been disillusioned with Peter Stokkeby aromatics as well. I have a couple...the only one I remember is the Peaches and Cream because I wanted it to be soooo goood...nah...no peaches or cream....just blah Might as well smoke a cigarette.
Thanks@RockyMountainBriar, so glad to hear I wasn't out their by my lonesome concerning Peter Stokkebye blends. Nice to hear someone back up a statement about this or that.
I'm working my way through a bowl of Seafarer from Hayes Tobacco in Winchester, VA. It is a molasses / dark rum cased VA /burley Blend good for warmer weather. Sometimes your local B&M has some tasty tobacco in its bulk jars.
@motie2 Bummer, I have two B&M’s that carry pipes and their accoutrements. Not loads, but a decent selection of low to mid pipe grades and some popular bulk and tinned tobaccos.
Both local b&ms are primarily cigar centered but they do have a decent selection of pipes and tobacco. Most of my pipes were purchased locally. I get a little anxious about putting my credit card out over the net. Besides it is better when the owner knows his stock and they do.
Though it may seem counterproductive, I'm headed off to the gym and I have a post work out (ride home) bowl of Ten Russians in a smaller bent Savinelli 602
What a day! After breakfast=Caramello J2 After lunch=Lane BCA After supper=Sunset Rum Used my Sultan meer for 1&3, used my CAO meer for #2... What a day!
"What kind of tobacco is "Arrowhead"? I like the name, my guess is something with Latakia?"
@RockyMountainBriar Arrowhead is named for the Arrowhead Pipe Club, which is based at Paul's. Here's the description from TobaccoReviews:
A blend of burley, Virginia, Green River black cavendish, Virginia
flake, perique and a small amount of latakia that is expertly blended
for the utmost taste, then topped with a secret vanilla flavoring recipe
to achieve outstanding flavor. Mild but satisfying.
Yesterday I started my second trip through my meerschaums. Loaded some Senior Chief in my CAO Cavalier and sat in the backyard watching the birds and the squirrels fight over the bird feeders.
FrogMortonCellar in my NEW Castello Sea Rock birthday pipe. I used some bday $$ to splurge on myself this year. The previous owner said he’d only smoked it 5-6 times, and I believe it.
Haven’t been here in a while, found out I have high blood pressure so I’m on meds now and then I got sick for 4 days, smoking PS LTF in a Rossi Lucca billiard.

I love the Mycroft shape. I have the Kinsale version (XL22). I love dublin pipe shapes in general.

Thanks for my promotion.
Me, I don't have one..... cigar bars out the wazoo, but no pipe and tobacco shops within an hour's drive.
