Well, I thought I'd have the evening to myself tonight, but found out I have to work overtime tomorrow. So I'm spending a bit of time outside before bed, smoking C&D's Blockade Runner in my Peterson XL Billiard.
Had some Lane Hazelnut, also Russ Snow Drift.@motie2, Not saying I've tried every Rum blend in the world, leaving open the possibility I may be wrong I just don't think Barbados Plantation has an equal now or in the foreseeable future. Hope I'm wrong.
Hanging out in the Garage smoking a little Dunhill Navy Rolls. Recently found an extra tin to cellar during a trip to San Diego so now I am guilt free smoking my opened one. (Smoking in my No-Frills just chills Dr.Grabow Omega)
I did catch a hint of a “brine” note in this meerschaum just like my other one. This is the first time I have smoked this pipe. I don’t think it had been smoked much before I “adopted” it. Different pipe, different tobacco, “brine” in the note, not in the taste. It has to be the Meerschaum giving a bit of itself when it warms?
Next in line this evening for “March Meerschaum Madness” is C&D’s “Orion’s Arrow” in an antique and well used Meer by G. Larsen Pipefabrikant of Lillehammer, Norway.
Finishing up a bowl of Brigadier Black: Sherman's March from earlier in my "work pipe" a MM Maple Hardwood. About to pack my morning pipe with some H&H Daybreak tho...now to decide what pipe to take with me on my morning hike!
As of the past several months I keep seeing posts on several groups relative to the John Bull Pipe Tobacco. Some of the review sites have it liked very much, others not quite as high. It looks interesting to me as a blend with which to "branch out" a bit. If anyone on our site has tried it, I would appreciate an honest opinion.
@pwkarch I got a pouch in a $1 dollar for three deal on P&C awhile back and I enjoyed it. Its a very no-frills English blend, but in a pouch at a decent price. An all day smoke if you wish it but definitely nothing to write home about.
Thank you sir......it is not the kind of tobacco I usually smoke, it just has come across my view here of late. It gets fair to semi good reviews......
Burning some Samuel Gawith “Grousemoor” in a Weber Bent Billiard Tanzania Meer. This tobacco smells like and has a similar flavor to “Fry’s” “Turkish Delight” candy made by Cadbury’s, which is flavored with rose water. Very interesting tobacco....I need to acquire more.

First nice day we’ve had in months... of course we gotta work. So we will make the best of it with a cookout.
