@pipeman83, I didn't come to Cleveland this year but I will next. We shall get together for sure! Yeah, I'd like to have a pin 😀! Thanks so much for the offer. PM me for address. Btw frontier has super cheap tickets to NC. You should come to the pipe show here. I posted the info on another thread.
Tonight I start on my frankenblend from 2018. All the droppings from pipe fills go in a bag and then I enjoy the surprise in the first of the next year. I will see how it worked out. All aromatics I think.
I do the same thing on a day to day basis, mixing a couple of bowlfuls at a time. "Hmmmm, today I'll add a pinch ot two of ........" I have the folowing onhand: Barbados Plantation, Lane VBC, BCA, and RLP-6, Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, and Molto Dolce. Everything has mixed nicely with everything.
I am loving this masterpiece . Lol. H&H Magnum Opus .Soo good . With a cup of Laughing Man Columbian Huila. Very good coffee for anyone who's a coffee lover .☕😁👍
Met up with some fellow members of CPCC at Arlington Pipe & Cigar tonight, had some Capt Earl's Mystic blend followed by some Gl Please Westminster, an caped it off with some C&D Jolly St. Nick all while sipping on some J W black label and home brewed beer.
The owner of the place is tight with Arango so he always has Esoterica in stock, he also has a display on top of one shelf from Peterson that contains one complete set of all the Sherlock Homes series pipes.
They have been there so long the stems need to be seriously buffed. The best part is the furniture, the most comfortable chairs ever. Probably good that I have to drive 20 minutes to get there, any closer and he could clam me on his taxes as a dependent.
Beautiful day in Oklahoma picking and grinnin’ on my back porch smoking CapstanBlue in my Ab Pipe (@Corey562). @Londy3, we have to meet in person some day!
I for one want to be in attendance for @Londy3 and @jfreedy 's jam session. I can't contribute much other than foot tapping, but it would be a fun evening.
This picture was taken almost six years ago at our academy graduation. But 4 years ago yesterday I lost my best friend from the academy. He was like a brother to me. Enjoyed some Barbados Plantation while remembering all the good times we had, and all the after shift phone calls telling stories of the crazy crap we had seen or had to do while on the job. Got home and drank some Johnny Walker for him. Until we meet again buddy...
Mike, did he die on watch? So sorry for your loss. I am sure you guys bond just like we did in the military.
We have many LEO's in our family. Our daughter and her husband (sgt.), two nephews who are both Chiefs of their respective departments, two uncles (deceased). I was accepted into the FBI way back when but chose my heartfelt career. When I got out of the military I was "recruited" by the State Police but did not accept the invitation.
Things would (could) have been totally different had I chosen the law enforcement career.
Anyway sorry for the loss of your buddy.....I KNOW how that hurts.
@pwkarch He died in a wreck on his way to work. Riding his motor cycle and a elderly lady pulled out in front of him. The driver of the vehicle beside him said he had no where to go. Said they locked eyes right before he made the decision to lay the bike down and slide under her vehicle. Driver said if he hadn't he would have plowed right into her drivers side door. They said it saved her life. She didn't have a scratch. Just like him to forfeit his life for another. Honored to have been friends and brothers.

And why isn't it spelled "bowlsful"???

Samookin some hazelnut in my MM cob.
Captain Black Classic in my old unstained basket pipe. All the color is from 20+ years of good tobacco.
