Had some Sutliff Pumpkin Spice today, also received a one ounce bag of H&H Carmel Apple Pie. big disappointment, it was just a nothing blend as far as I'm concerned. Well I tried it.
At my brothers Christmas Party-Middle of December in Montana.. 43 degrees and smoking outside..almost like summer😀 Some mixture of Peterson Holiday, RLP-6, and BCA...maybe some others for good measure. I can't really remember🤔 And this gentlemen is why Billings is called the "Banana Belt"🎄
While I usually confine myself to Barbados Plantation and an occasional bowl of VBC, today I smoked a bowl of BCA mixed 50/50 with RLP-6. The tobaccos differ, but the flavor profiles are similar. I found the sum to be superior to the parts. Both were a Christmas gift from a pipe brother. Thank you, sir.... You know who you are....
Not bad.... Not bad at all. (And the new $30.00 dual window exhaust fan is keeping SWMBO placated.... I'm one moderately happy guy....)
@Danfriedman - Lunted that same coastline last year with my son. Enjoyed Oswald State park and the little village of Manzanita on our way to giant bowls of ice cream!
Recieved my order of Carter Hall, Vanilla Custard yesterday, tried CH by itself, which was not bad, but did detect the sort of cigarette taste and smell that a member stated. However mixing it VC was a good move. Also have some Chocolate Mousse available for mixing. Thank you@pwkarch.
@Mangoandy, I know exactly where you went. Does your son pipe? I am always looking for walking (lunting) partners. @motie2, I would also value making a contact with your friend in Portland. Today I am loaded with BCA and RLP. It works when I don't know what else I want.
@Danfriedman Two sons (23 and 21) both live and work in Portland. If you ever visit Filsons in downtown Portland, ask for Nate. They both have pipes and I regularly hand them a tin of good Virginia when we are together. They often send me pictures of them piping out on an adventure in the PNW. Next time I am up north I'll look you up.
Nice lovat @jfreedy . You can never go wrong with a Pete.
Speaking of which... I'm currently smoking C&D's Morley's Best in my Peterson XL14. I love this pipe, even though I can't get a pipe cleaner to pass through from the stem into the shank.
@thebadgerpiper - totally agree about a "Pete." I'm getting one similar to your XL14 for Christmas. It's more of a Dublin shape but similar. Great minds...
In honor of others on here who have done the same, I revived my $15 thrift store Peterson Donegal Rocky 53 PLIP estate with a bowl of Comoy's Stand Fast Navy this morning.

Some Boswell’s Pipers Pleasure while in a call slump. This is definitely a top favorite tobacco.
