The first couple of episodes of the new series were terrific (especially for the fanboys and fangirls from the original show,) but I started getting lost when "Dougie" showed up, and this past Sunday's episode was transcendentally incomprehensible. Even to me, and I'm loose as a goose for weird stuff.
And NIN's performance was not up to "Fragile" standards.
David Lynch can be weird just for the sake of being weird. "The Elephant Man" was the only mainstream movie he ever made. Though on a personal level I loved "Eraserhead" for all the reasons I dislike "Twin Peaks".
<<David Lynch can be weird just for the sake of being weird.>> Yeah, I get that. But to substitute visual noise for narrative? Even the Black Lodge floor pattern displays at least contributed to the scene en mise. I mean, I get it: noise. Event Trent's mid show performance: noise. (I preferred the series' earlier use of Julie Cruise homages.
The last two bands I posted (Ethos and Yezda Urfa) were both excellent progressive rock bands from my home state, Indiana. The albums were both released in the mid-70s' at the height of the progressive rock movement - and these two little bands from Indiana could give their British counterparts like Genesis, King Crimson and YES a run for their money.
@motie2, I usually stay up most of the night, and go to sleep around 4am to 6am and sleep till noon. I seem to get my best sleep that way, plus there is a lot less traffic on the road at night, and I usually avoid morning and evening rush hour traffic.
