Wondered if Missouri Meerschaum was still able to ship to Maine addresses, so I placed an order for all their tobaccos. The web-ordering page accepted it and charged me the Maine sales tax, they shipped it, and I now have two tins and four pouches of MM blends to try out for the first time.
I' ve been wondering about doing that, but my sister's place is almost as far southwest as one can get and still be in the state of Oregon. She can see California out her kitchen window, and the Pacific is visible between a couple of hilltops west of her. Can't imagine the doubled shipping time to go from the East coast to the west only to be shipped back to Maine!
Supposedly have many family around the Greenland NH area, but I have no idea if my branch of the family has been in contact with them at all over the past century.
The offer stands just PM me. If you're near a Downeaster stop a day trip to Peretti's in Boston and/or Leavitt and Pearce in Cambridge would fill your cellar but Massachusetts has banned flavored tobacco products so check before making the trek.
Been looking for new blends to try as the cellar is quite robustly stocked and I am always afraid I'll get bored.
So this is the latest acquisition, all new except for the Black Mallory which is really good if you like English blends.
I also posting a picture of a couple of pipes that I got that arrived the same day.
Interesting story there: I sent an offer on a pipe on eBay to the seller in Canada the end of April.
Last week I get an e-mail from the seller saying he accepted my offer( long time) ; so I paid and the next day I get another e-mail saying if I'm interested he has other pipe listed and he would do a combined deal.
Mind you I really wasn't thinking about it when I made the initial offer, he is asking in term of Canadian dollars and the current exchange rate is $1 US to 1.85 Canadian, so my actual cost per pipes was only $50 bucks or so.
I gathered from my dialog with him that he's a shop owner in the Toronto area trying to divest in stock thats not selling. I just thought it odd to have an offer excepted almost 2 months later.
I scored two tins of C&D Sun Bear and two tins of Gawith Hoggarth Kendal Black Cherry. Notice-I didn’t try to buy it ALL up, I left some for others. I usually buy two tins or ~ 4oz./100grams at a time, as that amount usually fits in a half-pint jar.
This week I ordered two tins of the very-limited Orchard Mist Crumble Kake, a tin of the re-release of the Greg Pease-blended First Responders from C&D, and a tin of something else that I now cannot remember the name of for the life of me. I also splurged on a Cohiba Red Dot Toro yesterday that cost $25…that cigar had better be fantastic for that price!

MM doesn't sell the Rob Roy, you have to buy a set which includes a straight 5th Ave and plastic case. Smoking Pipes has had the stand alone Rob Roy for a couple of months. I seldom buy direct from Missouri Meerschaum.
I received a couple of tins of C&D Low Country “Guendalose” today. Lit’er up in a MM Dagner poker this evening. It’s a cigar leaf blend, and adds a couple of my favorites, Katerini Turkish and some Perique, it also has some Red & Bright Virginia’s, and some Red Virginia Cavendish. It kinda looks like floor sweepings, it has a few “sticks and stems”, but it is tasty. This is the first cigar leaf blend I actually get a cigar flavor without being overbearing or harsh.
@mfresa Yes sir. I have had a couple tins for several years now. I think I procured some when it first hit the shelves. I have never enjoyed it as much as this Guendalose. I have revisited the Sansepolcro every so often, and it is still not quite “my cup of tea”. I think it is the Katerini and Perique in the Guendalose that I like. I’m not sure if it is the Virginia’s or the Dark Fired Kentucky that is overpowering? the cigar leaf in Sansepolcro, but I do not detect the cigar flavor in it like I do in the Guendalose.
@RockyMountainBriar, I agree the Sansepolcro leaves me a little flat. It was hyped pretty well in advertising, but I wasn't that impressed. Maybe some day I'll try the Guendalose.

I'm 20 minutes from Portsmouth if you want to drop ship and pick up the order in New Hampshire.

I went to tobaccoreviews.com to look up Orchard Mist and it doesn't appear.
Where did you order it from?
