Not sure, but I THINK @PappyJoe also has/had a tin of that blend too...

I'll let you know if its any good.

I also bought a 100g tin of HU Dark Moor, a 100g tin of The Untouchables and a 50g tin of Svendborg Kirsberry.
I did crack open the Kirsberry just to see what the tin note was. My first thought was, "I've smelled this before."
It reminds me of one of the good cherry bulk blends, maybe something Tinderbox used to sell. The cherry note wasn't overpowering in the tin and didn't smell medicinal either. I will be smoking a bowl of this later

    Thanks @PappyJoe.

With Barbados Plantation going away, I’m definitely interested.

BTW, I recommend Blood Red Moon.

I bought a tin in April. Then let my two sons try it. One of them forgot to give me the tin back and took it home with him.

That HU Dark Moor is on my list.  I’ll be looking forward to your thoughts on it.

HU Dark Moor has been on my list for several years but I always left it off my purchase when I was ordering from Germany. I'm trying to hold off on opening it until my pipe club meeting next week.
I'm interested to see what they mean by "peaty Kentucky" in the description. I was just having a discussion with another pipe smoker about Latakia and was wondering if anyone had ever tried smoke curing tobacco using peat from Scotland.
  • @PappyJoe
I’m not sure how it’s cured, but I have a couple of jars of the Arango Cigars L.E.  “Peaty Kentucky”.  It is one of my favorites, but since I don’t have much of it, I ration it🙂.

<< "Peaty Kentucky" is a **real pipe tobacco blend** from Erik Stokkebye's **4th Generation** series. It's **rope-cut**, made of **Virginia leaves** wrapped around **dark-fired Kentucky**, and **aged for weeks** before being sliced into **coins**.

Expect **bold smokiness, peppery spice, woodsy depth**, and **citrus-hay sweetness**. **Medium-to-strong** strength, **pleasant-to-tolerable** room note. Ideal for fans of **peaty whiskies**.>>
  • @motie2
    Yep, good stuff🙂👍🏻

    Agree with @motie2
It's rare when you find a mellow and good tasting Cherry blend. I too enjoy Blood Red Moon.
    It's worth a try IMHO...

My next blog post is about HU Dark Moor.
    I like it.

I had to have this tin since my birth year is/was? 1964….and, it’s  beautiful, and it matches my Zippo YoD. I love embossed tins, so “old school”, red is my favorite color, and dragons are 😎  The only thing that would have been better would be that the gold was silver😉.  As a bonus, the blend description sounded enticing as well with  its Starfruit topping.
Kopp “Year of the Dragon” (2024).
I bought the Zippo awhile back,
    Zippo “Year of the Dragon”
(2024), although the lighter is dated ‘23’.

Hello Pipe and Tobacco aficionados hope all is well in your part of the world. "The LOOT", I'm going old school here with some  Peter Stokkebye "Bullseye Flake". It's been awhile since I had some of this blend and it may appear to be new to me at this point and time. Have you ever tried this blend and if so what are your thoughts and opinions. Thanks and have a great day.
  • @KABUL07
Hmm, I have several Stokkebye tobacco’s, but not sure if i have Bullseye…I will have to look, it sounds familiar….I might have some.  Obviously, if I do have some, it’s been awhile since I have smoked any, so I guess I’m probably in the same boat as you.

Today appears to be the day, our weather here has been in full control and thunder storms, wind and rain has been the menu period. I will try to get out and enjoy this day with some "Peter Stokkebye Bullseye Flake". Have a great day.  :)
