@motie2 Hmm, I did not notice it was a different thread. Why is there a “sort of” duplicate thread anyway? Was there some plagiarism perhaps🤔. Is there any way to nix the duplicate thread? There, that’s a start, I rescinded my “like”.
I decided to pull out this little billiard tonight and load it with some Half and Half. It’s neat little pipe, but I can’t find any info on it. Maybe someone has heard of the brand? It is marked ARM over London in an oval on the left shank, and that is it. It has a vulcanite stem with a single hole “button“ type bit. It also has a Bakelite tenon extension that looks like some in Peterson system pipes, also the airway is drilled toward the top of the shank and there is an airspace between the airway and tenon extension. It would be similar to a Peterson straight shank system pipe. I believe it to be fairly old because of the features?
I've been smoking my favorite tobacco, Dunhill Ready Rubbed. I stocked up on this tobacco over the past two years and it's still available at Pipes and Cigars for a good price. It's mild and very enjoyable. I smoke it in a MKM meerschaum reverse calabash pipe. I would highly recommend this tobacco and pipe.
Smoking some C&D “Exhausted Rooster” in the little ARM billiard tonight. I had to fill the bit earlier today with some Black Max....I bit through the previous repair that I made on the underside of the stem. Sharp teeth, heavy bite force😖. I guess we’ll see if it holds this time? P.S. The shank space and tenon setup work like a Pete well system, it definitely collects moisture, I think the “Half and Half“ yesterday had a little too much moisture in it still. The “Exhausted Rooster” is smoking a bit drier.
Hmm, Apparently my tooth hits the same spot on the underside of this stem, I guess I will have to build it up more....again🙁
Tried to smoke some half and half couldn’t do it. Dumped it out and loaded up some Mac Baren plum cake navy blend. How could something that smells like ketchup taste so good? Pipes and cigars are my daily unwind, if I don’t enjoy it I have no problem throwing it in the ashtray and trying again.
Smoking some Lane Captain Black “Red Sky” in the stubby ARM billiard. I think I have the hole in the stem fixed this time👍🏻 It’s -11F outside, but no wind, so not too bad....yet. It’s forecast to be heading to -25F or so🥶
I cracked open a tin of Firedance Flake yesterday and smoked two bowls of it. The flakes are very moist and both times I let the flakes are dry. The first time I let the tobacco dry for 15 minutes, the second time for 30 minutes. The second bowl lit easier and didn't require any re-lights.
On the road driving up to visit friends in central Wisconsin, (not my idea); fortunately it's not going to be as cold as where rockmountainbriar is, only -8 .

Frog Morton in my Custombilt Author. Went almost a week without a pipe, and next week looks about the same. At least it’s going to “warm up” after that.
@jfreedy Funny you should mention 9° on your last post here. 8:30 AM and with snow falling, here's my temp... consequently, unless I have a change of heart, no pipe today... again...😔

Tonight it's some Maltese Falcon in a '96 Boswell.
You know I LOVE that pipe...
Good looking pipe...😏

I think I see a Stanwell Zebrano in there. I like the shank adornment on those, nice👍🏻
