At last nights pipe club meeting I brought a bottle of Slain Irish whiskey, unique stuff and quite excellent, the bottle didn't make it past the second hour.
The biggest hassle in roasting coffee...at least for me here in Billings, is purchasing the green coffee beans...I hate mail-order for this sort of thing. One of the coffee shops here was glad to sell me the green coffee beans, but I had to make a special appointment to get them. I wish I could just pop in the store and buy a few bags like I do the roasted beans I have to say, the WhirlyPop works very well, and after some experimentation I found that I can roast the beans in the house to a nice light/medium roast (my preference) without smoking up the house. If I were to roast darker, I would have to go outside, there is just too much smoke, at least with the WhirlyPop. Oh, I also use a cast iron heat diffuser on my gas stove.
@motie2, that's good info on coffee roasting. The best option is a dedicated device, I roast about 3 pounds of green coffee in 8 ounce batches and the roaster simplifies the process.
@RockyMountainBriar, buying beans online is a good option. I've used Captain's Coffee, Sweet Marias and Invalsa. To buy less and get free shipping Amazon works.
Last night I poured a glass of Mead that had been fermenting since just before Thanksgiving. My best guess is that it finished about 15% alcohol, crisp and dry.

Funny, same thing happened with some Makers Mark 46 awhile back at a gathering of friends🤔
It's funny how everyone can make a bottle of liquor disappear fast when it's free...😏

Personally, I prefer Cafe Bustelo in a moka pot.
Lavazza Expresso... ok
16 inches of snow... 😳
I love Lavazza
So...your Cafe Bustelo in a moka pot...do you whip up the espuma for a "Cuban" coffee with white sugar/brown sugar or just black?
At my age, that kind of sugar load would be a widowmaker.
I always drink my coffee black, from whatever process.

Look into DALGONA COFFEE on Google. Sounds llke a “Cuban” variant.
I think I might have. But if I did, I forgot...🤔
At 160 proof, that is understandable.......
