It’s been a week or so since I have imbibed any smoke. I’ve had non-smoker company (my friend that now works lives in Tennessee) came back to Montana for a little vacation. Tonight I broke out this Roma churchwarden Skater/Rhodesian? (one of my first five pipes, a basket pipe) and loaded it with some C&D “Espresso”. The first smoke in it years ago lifted the clear finish, whatever it was, on both sides. I have since removed the finish, and sanded and polished it with carnauba. It still burns hot, and always gurgles in the beginning of the smoke and I always have to clear the stem. It does smoke better than it use to at least.
@RockyMountainBriar Better is always better than status quo. What's that in your left hand? Are you timing puffs, or going for a new personal slow smoke record? 😏
@KA9FFJ It is an Apple Watch that my friend gave me….apparently it was too “cheap” for his wife…she likes nice things…really nice. Me, I not that picky, especially since it was given to me.
Since I saw this interesting feature in the list, I was trying out the “remote camera” function….pretty cool. I just set my iPhone on the table then used the watch to remotely trigger it. I would have left it on my wrist, but I would have been “all kinda twisted up”🙂 I have been thinking about getting an AppleWatch, but they are kinda spendy (for me anyway). I was interested in the O2 monitor and activity tracking (since I am a couch potato, unless I am working). So far, it seems I am not as sedentary as I thought. My “Move” and “Stand” bars are ok, but I will admit, the “Exercise” bar does not move much. Maybe the watch will make me get off of my @$$ more? Actually, I think it can be set so that it actually bitches at you if you are slacking. Since I’m single, I don’t think I could take the constant nagging, so it is stifled.
@riobrusa LL7 is my favorite. Great taste Great room note Easy to light and keep lit Burns clean down to the bottom Pairs great with bourbon, coffee, beer and wine Best part is I can buy in bulk
It’s been a little hectic around here, I just remembered the “Paradoxical” I got last week. I decided to stuff some in this Savinelli New Art 127 for this evening’s smoke. This is a very interesting blend, actually all of the six “Birds Of A Feather” series tobaccos have been both interesting and tasty. Unlike all of the other sloppy wet Sutliff blends I have tried, these six blends were all ready to smoke right from the tins.
I'm starting the day with GH Balkan Mixture in a Pride. It's a chilly drizzly morning so the hot cup of coffee my wife made while I was outside taking care of the animals was a welcome relief!
