Fired up a Luciano Bulldog with some Drew Estate “Grand Central”. The tin description on Tobaccoreviews.com mentions peach, but I’m only getting a little touch of coconut. It’s pretty tasty, I love coconut. I’m pairing it with a Gin Martini, kind of a strange pairing, but it’s working for me😉. I’m still on the lookout for a nice smooth Luciano squashed Rhodesian similar to this squashed bulldog, and a smooth Luciano 2013 POY Eskimo? Still kicking myself for not buying one at the time, but it was very early in my pipe journey and did not want to spend the cashola. I think they were around $200 , maybe less…dang, dang, dang. If anyone has either that need a new home let me know🙂
@RockyMountainBriar That Comoy is a nice pipe. I'll let @opipeman have that one, but make sure you put that Luciano squashed Rhodesian on my list... You do still have my list, don't you?😏
@KA9FFJ; Very nice of you to pass on the Comoy, but we both know that the chances of me outliving Rockymountain man are slim at best. But, you sir are a very generous man none the less.
NOTHING! FOR THE LAST 4 DAYS! Damn weather. We went from nice days in the 50s and 60s to still nice days but in the 70s to low 80s. So what happens, freaking pollen everywhere. I got my car washed and waxed on Sunday. I could run my hand over the hood and it was as smooth as glass. Monday morning, it had a yellow tinge and rubbing my hand on the hood felt like rubbing sand paper. The pollen was so thick, you could see not only where I rubbed the hood but the paw prints of the local feral cat.
@PappyJoe We have the same problem here. Everything is golden. Soon, you will see the golden haze in the sky. We get a LOT. When it rains, the streets are rivers of liquid gold.
@PappyJoe @Londy3 I remember making a trip to San Antonio one spring. I really thought that, for some unknown reason, the city decided to paint the sidewalk cracks yellow. You guessed it... the cracks were filled with pollen! I was miserable for 4 days!
Burning some C&D “Strawberry Cavendish” in a Big Ben Barbados 648A this evening. Sipping some Soda water with lemon peel. I’m unimpressed with the “Strawberry”, there is none except a slight tin note. It burns good and smokes well though👍🏻
@KA9FFJ Be aware, it’s not very aromatic, well, not to me anyway. When I say hint of strawberry, I mean barely detectable, and that is straight from the tin/jar.
Rainy day here for most of the day, so I decided to clean up my garage working area. Then I thought, why do that when I still have some cutting and drilling to complete a pipe rack? Consequently I finished the basic rack (in the picture background), THEN I cleaned and straighten up my work area. So now I'm on break with some 2019 Queen Anne's Revenge in a slightly revamped Paronelli.
So nice outside I decided to have a second bowl. Some Taste of Spring in a Fulushou... I tell you, if I was guaranteed to get another pipe as mechanically sound as this one, I'd be tempted to buy another one (different style of course)...
I loaded up a Savinelli Long John 413 with some Holger Danske “Original Orange” and poured a mug of sparkling soda with lemon for this evenings relaxation.
Just put 1st coat of poly on those 2 pipe racks I just made. Break time with some Tinderbox Honey Maple in a MM Maddox... By the way, this may be old to you, but their label on the bottom of the bowl is new to me. Check it out...

WOW! That is one massive pipe! I do like the wood grain a lot. I'm about to light one up myself.

Squashed bulldog, another classic shape...
Very nice...
Cracked open a tin of Vauen's Auenland Sunset Mixture.
Martinis go with anything and everything.

I don’t know, I live in Montana, apparently a pretty dangerous state to drive in, and I drive fast and take chances.
@KA9FFJ
Well, I’m looking for the Rhodesian, but the bulldog…yep, on the list🙂

C&D Strawberry Cavendish...
Thanks a lot! ANOTHER new blend to add to the list. 😠
By the way, great looking pipe...

LOOK OUT!
I see a most viscous and fowl rodent right behind you. He’s got teeth like this🐰
Is that a shank extension or an inlaid band? Can't tell on my phone. Nice look...
