This is an old picture I posted a year or two ago after mowing, but the situation is the same. A hot day, a cold PBR, some "Ole shenandoah Fuzzy Schnapps" in me Savinelli 622. I don't drink beer very often due to my diabetes (too many Carbs),but it sure hits the spot on a hot day. It is the last of the "Fuzzy Schnapps".
Changed my mind about the Norman Rockwell Portrait and opened the Vauen Tradition No. 2 instead. There is very little perique or dark fired in this blend so it pretty much smokes like a straight Virginia.
Packed 4 bowls for work today, why (I usually only smoke 3 or less) I don't know, So I'm just getting around to smoking #4, Capt. Earls Stimulus Package in a Design Berlin (DB) conference (work) pipe .
Absolutely nothing! It is 104.5 in the shade and the grass is dryer than a "Popcorn Fart". A bowl doesn't even sound good, right now. Think I'll stay in the AC and listen to some George Jones.
Since I'm a big LOTR/Hobbit fan, I had to buy some Nougat, as that was what the actors were smoking in the film (Hobbit, an Unexpected Journey). Can't say it impressed me that much, as a good Virginia will outclass it, IMHO. But I tried it in a homemade churchwarden I reserve for such occasions.
Loading up a bowl of C&D “Sun Bear” in a Musico Billiard. A few days ago it was 100+F and 90F-100F since….until today. It looks like 58F will be near the high today. There is a nice soaking drizzle to go with it. Good thing, we needed a respite from the heat and brutally low precipitation these last few months.
Smoking some “St. Bruno Ready Rubbed” in a little old no-name Canadian. I’m not sure how old, but it has a threaded Bakelite tenon and a cool dark Ruby Bakelite stem. I wish I could find some acrylic or Bakelite in this color, maybe a touch lighter, to make stems for my own handmade pipes.
Just back from taking the grandkids for a week at Branson/Silver Dollar City for their last summer fling before school starts. After 5 days of no pipe, I'm now thoroughly enjoying some Lane 1Q in a MM Charles Towne...
Catching up after being gone a week. Yard work, garden work, to name a few, are now finished. Relaxing with some Seven Seas Royal in my old workhorse Darby. IMHO, this is a very pleasant blend that I think most of you would enjoy. Recommend you pick some up if you get the chance...
We had five or six days of very pleasant weather where the daytime high temperatures stayed in the mid-80s (a rarity for this time of the year in SE Louisiana) so I've had plenty of time to sit outside and have a two or three bowls a day.
I have finished off my Kramer Extra Smooth, Backwoods Bourbon, Vauen Aueland. I have smoked some Vauen Tradition No. 2, The Jolly Joker and my current favorite go-to-blend, The Untouchables.
Alas, the temperate weather has gone away for a few days and we are back into the heat of August. Yesterday, my outdoor thermometer hit 97f. We are expected to stay in the low 90s from now until Thursday when our high temps will fall to the 80s.
We have some cooler weather in store for today. Time to load me Savinelli 111KS with some "Scotty's Peachtree Street". @vtgrad2003 set me up with her several months ago. I've been breaking her in slowly and she has become my favorite smoker of all my pipes. So much so, I've asked her if she would consider an "exclusive relationship". I think she is thinking about it.
Okay, so I've spent the last 3 years trying to figure out all this gender fluid non-binary crap, and I still can't figure it out, so now you're throwing in a relationship with a pipe? The last I've seen we have LGBTQIA – Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer and/or Questioning, and Asexual and/or Ally...so do we need to add a "P" to this for pipe? It can be LGBTQIAP... LOLLLLL

Maybe you need to “Put a ring on it”😬
It's been a while...
Perfect temperature outside today for a cool one and some Peter Stokkebye Luxury English in my new Savinelli
Got a wife with a ring, this would just be something on the side.
Lookin' good...
Based on your research and extensive knowledge, do you think I would be eligible for some government benefit?
