@jfreedy I have a few older Cumberland stems and some brindle too. They don’t seem to discolor as badly as some black vulcanite/ebonite stems. I think the quality of brindle/Cumberland stems may be of higher quality…generally.
@KA9FFJ, @Zouave Alright, which of you sent the snow and cold here? At 3PM I went outside and it was ~45F and the little bit of snow that we had was gone. I watched a little NCIS and 2-3 hours later…boom. The newest forecast is saying -20F from a “balmy” -15F soon🥶
@Londy3 I had an electric keyboard but never put any time into it. I gave it to the kid across the street along with a guitar I salvaged from the dump. The last time I picked up a guitar was over twenty years ago!
On a warm, Spring is coming, NH morning I'm enjoying a Peterson Lestrade filled with GH Balkan Mixture along with my morning cup of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.
Yesterday it was in the low 60's. So I tried Cornell & Diehl Irish Blessing again. It is sticky in the pouch, but it is nice burning an as I said before very mild. I was smoking outside in Iowa in my shirt sleeves on February 20.
1. Ford was the ONLY American truck manufacturer that didn't take a bailout in 2009 2. Chevy and Chrysler start with a 'C' 3. Communist starts with a 'C'
“Baja”/“Rat Patrol” across the prairie is kinda rough on things. I have had it airborne across a few cattle guards running 70-80mph down dirt roads…that’s dirt, not gravel, gravel is usually smoother, no ruts😬 🤔Maybe that’s where that longitudinal crack in the frame under the drivers side cab mount came from? I found that crack last year when I had to replace the rusted out nerf bars😳.
The last Ford I owned left me stranded. The Pontiac Aztek I owned never left me stranded. The Dodge Dakota I owned never left me stranded. (I gave it to my oldest son seven years ago and he still drives it. It now has over 250K miles on it.) The Nissan Frontier I own has never left me stranded. The Subaru I now own and use for a daily driver has never left me stranded.
@vtgrad2003 Well, it could be, but not in this case. More like the TV Series “Rat Patrol”. I’m a Jeep CJ (and older Jeep) guy and just love the intro to that TV show when they come flying over the sand dunes…..and I mean flying! I’ve never caught that kind of air, but I did launch my 75 CJ airborne out of a coolie. The tires didn’t touch for more than a Jeep length away. I’m not sure how far my pickup was flying after hitting the cattle guards at 60-80mph, they aren’t very tall, but I didn’t slow down to find out. I have always wanted to run the Baja 500 just for the heck of it, but that takes more cashola than I have.

Still looks pretty nippy, looking at the background of your pic...🥶

Concerning your weather:
I guess I should be happy for you, but I'm having a hard time...😏
It was tough giving you a “thumbs up” (like) on that last post….damn Ford. I did own a Ford once…..once🙂
It was a ‘68’ F100….when they still made them tough😬
Well, just remember three things:
1. Ford was the ONLY American truck manufacturer that didn't take a bailout in 2009
2. Chevy and Chrysler start with a 'C'
3. Communist starts with a 'C'
It’s never left me stranded. I have broke it a few times.
Rat patrol, is that prairie dog huntin'?
