Had some Diamond Head after dinner then loaded up some Cambridge Flake to keep me company while I mixed up a jug of Joe's Ancient Orange Mead for Christmas Day!
If you raise some protein you can use their droppings in the garden. We have chickens and turkeys on bedding, the bedding ages over the winter and becomes a squash and melon bed. The rabbit manure and worm compost feed the raised beds. A half hour every week or two and no sore body!
Tonight I decided to be a codger and had a bowl of good ol Carter Hall in my Custombilt Fish Billiard. I don’t smoke codger blends all that much, but they never disappoint.
@mfresa Looks like @motie2 beat me to the punch. Thanks @motie2 I have been busy. I am not sure about the "suction" thing, but maybe it has something to do with Venturi effect / Bernoulli principles and may take into account velocity of the smoke stream as well as pressure or vacuum?
@RockyMountainBriar, @motie2, yeah, there are probably a lot of factors influencing the air stream in a pipe. Drag, the diameter/taper of the draft hole, cooling effect of the smoke as it comes up the stem, water condensation, etc.
Smoking some Paladin Cherry in a Peterson System Standard 0 #314 (Made in England). I finally found some Paladin at the local Tobacco Row to try out. I wanted to see if it was as bad as most of the reviews. It is not the best tobacco I have smoked, but not the worst either. It was fine straight from the pouch, an ok cherry aroma, but it does not come on as strongly in the smoke. It tastes like mahogany burley in the smoke. It has a slight bite, but not the vicious teeth, or the tongue roasting I was expecting from the reviews.
Forgive my pipe smoking god (lower case g, not the God) for I have sinned. It has been four days since my last pipe. I tend not to smoke a pipe when I'm going to be around other people's children and I sat in the sleigh on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. I spent Sunday visiting with children as a photography studio. I don't smoke usually smoke those days because I don't want the smoke lingering in my beard and I'm too tired to sit outside when I get home afterwards.
That being said, I don't have any engagements until next Monday so I already have loaded a bowl of Dragon Flake.
@PappyJoe; Be safe out there. My wife was exposed to the China Virus a week ago tomorrow (which means I guess i was as well), so no Thanksgiving with our grand kids. The good news is only 8 more days of quarantine.
@jfreedy; Cool pipe and a great picture. It gives me an idea. When it is cold and blowing this winter, I could open the doors on our wood burner and let the draft pull the smoke out. Maybe I can pull it off without my saint of a wife catching on. It may be worth a shot??
@opipeman - Tip from experience... if you try the indoor smoke with your wood burner make sure to smoke Latakia blends. Since it already smells like a bonfire no one will ever notice if a waft or two escapes the chimney!
And, yes, @Londy3 - I was indeed "sneaking an indoorsmoke" this morning. And, furthermore, I fully intend to do it again and again (unless I get busted). 😳

NICE
I recall in the very beginning not sleeping literally for six months but the fun was just getting started!
I forgot to post this from yesterday afternoon...
Woodford Reserve with some orlik dark fired. Yeah, I'm on vacation so day drinking is fine right? 😎

Great tip! Thanks for the advice.
