@jfreedy; Yes I am, but it has been a spell since I have gone. I tie my own flies and catch and release, primarily because I don't like to clean em and my wife don't like to cook em.
This proved to be an absolutely beautiful day, so I opened up the garage door, turned up the stereo -since none of my neighbors are home (everyone works but me), and put the finishing touches on another tin of CAO "Eileen's Dream". I burned through that tin pretty quick. Gave my Big Ben Fantasia pipe a real work-out. Smoked so many bowls back-to-back that I was a hair's breath from tongue burn.
@PappyJoe I caught a sale at Tobacco Pipes and picked up a Mastro De Paja bent Rhodesian $66
In addition I had been looking for a Meerschaum pipe with a spigot type stem (hate Delrin screws) in sterling silver and finally found one in the form of a bent bulldog from a dealer in Turkey.
Amazingly it was only $175 with shipping and the guy uses DHL so I got it in 4 days.
Sorry about the focus, my camera sucks at close ups
I just finished off my third bowl for today. All three were HU Chinas Heaven, which is billed as an aromatic. It's billed as a Burley, Virginia blend with tangerine and coconut flavoring. If you don't like heavy aromatic, this may be a good blend to try. There is an interesting tin note, but I wouldn't call it either coconut or tangerine. It's smells sweet but nothing jumps out at me.
When smoking, there is again a sweetness to it but I'm getting more of the tobacco than any casing or topping. If there is anything dominating the flavor, I would say its the hay like notes of the virginias playing nicely with the burley. I'll be smoking some more of this in the next few days before I make a decision about it.
My first bowl was in a clay pipe and the next two bowls were in briars.
Grandkids gone until Tues next week. I really love them, but since I refuse to smoke around them, I'm grateful for the "pipe time". Getting ready to do some Sutliff Black Cherry in my old MM Meer. Decided to pair it with some Dr. Pepper Cherry. We'll see how that goes... 🙄
@mapletop That meerschaum is really nice. I assume that the stem on the meerschaum is not real amber? I really love that stem color I would like to find some stem material like that.
If it is real amber, then dang....that is a really, really, nice pipe.
While on a weekend getaway in the mountains I found a little tobacco shop and dropped in. Finally found a tin of Esoterica tobacco. Thoroughly enjoyable smoke. Have to find more by them!!

Rattray's Blossom Temptation in a meerschaum and Danish Dice in a Savinelli
What else did you buy?
