Received some more Boswells Best, Boswell No -Bite- Delite, Boswell Raspberry Cream. The No-Bite-Delite is nice tasting and basically like RPL-6 an all day smoke. Raspberry Cream is nice, first light up the Raspberry really comes thru, but not overpowering.
@motie2, I’m not the one to ask when it comes to detecting those nuances, as I can’t taste pipe tobacco, smoking some Countryside in my Big Ben Jumbo 555.
I had a bowl of SG Celtic Talisman on my way to work, a bowl of SG Balkan Flake on my way home. I'm finishing the evening with Esoterica Dunbar that I received in a FB tobacco trade. A fantastic Virginia blend that I'm enjoying more than I expected. I'll jar this tin and hope it lasts long enough to age a bit.
Smoking some Newminster “Superior Round Slices” in a new Brigham Klondike #19 Canadian. This pipe is a bit larger than I was expecting, length especially. I removed the bowl coating with a bit of warm water before firing it up. This pipe has a shiny finish, too shiny. It has some sort of varnish on it. I accidentally, barley, hit the rim with my soft flame lighter and it popped a bubble up in the varnish? PMO 😖 The coating has to go, at least on the rim. I’d like to strip the whole thing, but tough to bring myself to do on a brand new pipe. I’m getting some spice and a hint of the smoky dark fired kentucky. I’m glad it’s not more, it’s almost too close to Latakia for my tastes. This blend has a bit of a sour note that I like though. 74F with a sprinkle here and there and a slight breeze tonight. It’s almost chilly after the 99F yesterday.
Going to have a bowl of John Aylesbury British Blend in a new Mastro De Paja Bent Rhodesian I just received, while on the way for pizza (wife's taking me out).
@motie2 I may have misled you a bit, it is a shop/shed I built in about 1986. I added AC a few years ago. I go there to enjoy a pipe. It has a wood burning stove, a TV/DVD Player, a phone, a CD/AM/FM Radio. I don't classify it as Posh due to the fact it doesn't have running water, therefor no toilet. During the shutdown, it has been my salvation.
It's been a three pipe day. Followed the Caribbean Dream with a bowl of my personal blend - Senior Chief. I'm down to about an ounce and will have to order some more soon. My third bowl is what I used to call "gumbo" because it's a jar containing all my left overs and blends I decided I didn't like. I have now renamed it "Infinity." I got the name change idea from a Whiskey Tribe video about making an "Infinity" bottle of bourbon by pouring a couple of ounces from each bottle you buy into one bottle. I figure that's more or less what I do with my pipe tobacco.
Had the grandkids 4 days, 3 nights... no pipe. Took care of yard work this morning, then drove the wife about 25 miles to a sewing, quilting, crafting store for some supplies and materials. Finally settling in with some 50/50 Creme Brulee and Sunset Rum in a Bjarne freehand. It's good to get back to the pipe...
Smoking Russ Monthly Blend "Sugar Plum". Think it's intended to be a Christmas Holiday Blend but it was the perfect blend for a Sunday afternoon. Way too hot outside to enjoy anymore than a single bowl.
Played 7 holes, then rained out. Came home and decided to do more work on some pipe racks while doing some Sutliff Taste of Summer in a repaired and reworked GBD...

May I inquire from where in Europe did you order the CD?
I actually smoked three bowls from my Infinity tobacco jar and then a bowl of HU Tillerman flake.
