No @RockyMountainBriar I don't have a bathtub full of Captain Black. Would that it were true. I was referring to the paper and metal cylindrical thingie that pretends that 12 oz is a pound.
Tonight it's Trout Stream from King Street Emporium in my bent sandblast Italian basket pipe. This is a mellow blend with just enough vanilla to season the tobacco without masking the tobacco flavor. I could see spending the day streamside with a bowl or several of this.
Doing some Creme Brulee in an Abb Brown ( @Corey562 ) half bent Artisan pipe. His pipes (I own 5) ALWAYS give an exceptional smoke. Also I love the uniqueness that comes with a handmade pipe...
Had some Xmas Spice, and some Sutliff Apple, I knew what I was getting into with Apple blend, in other words not much apple flavor, but I saw @ghost recipe as far as mixing some other blends, so why not. Also ordered some of Russ new Autumn blend.
Well its an insomnia bowl again, sigh, at least its not winter so I can actually smoke a bowl.
Been trying to figure out if its the pipe smoking or the nightcap that actually gets me to sleep, I guess at some point I'll have to try one without the other, but not tonight!
Smoking a TPL suggestion, Barbados plantation (ala motie2) in a green Molina that has discolored weirdly ( ala Londy3) I could never find a blue one the same shade as Londy's so I bought the green.
the nightcap is actually two different drinks, the first is a 50 / 50 mixture of absinthe and green chartreuse (very potent and unusual tasting) followed by some cherry cordial to get the taste of the first one out of my mouth.
@PappyJoe , I saw a look on your face in that last Santa pic, the one with the little child on your lap. The look was - joy!! How wonderful to be able to bring joy to little kids like that. Good on ya!!
@mapletop, let's see that Molina. I love my blue one. I noticed the color gets darker as you smoke it. Mine is now a midnight blue... love it. You should try a bourbon or bourbon old fashioned 🥃nightcap. Should make you relax pretty good.
Now, don't get me started on what kind of bourbon, I will have to start a new thread on It! I will however have a podcast titled Bourbon 101 and pipe pairing.
@KA9FFJ Just don't buy it all Marine (Semper fi Buddy)........save some for us Sailors or next time you will need to get he Air Force to get you where you need to go. And they do not run you into the beach.
Frog Morton's Cellar mixed 50/50 with Sutliff Eastfarthing rendered a lovely experience. The SE really brought out the sweetness only hinted at by the whiskey infused FMC. Not transcendent, but that'll await another frankenblend.
BTW, after soaking the FMC barrel stave cube in rum for 48 hours, and then burying it in two ounces of Craey Revolution Tabac, resulted in a rum accented delight; not the assertive um of Barbados Plantation, but the more gentle rum of Sutliff Sunset Rum. A great smoke in any event.

Hopefully not “the” light at the end of the tunnel😳
I'm feeling better... I'm feeling Better... I'm feeling BETTER... ... ...

While not a match, I find it fills the Froggy hole, especially the Cellar.

I have to tell you that Sutliff Christmas Spice is one of my favorites ANYTIME of the year. I have 2 pounds in my "cellar"......I
The pipe sets you up... the nightcap(s) knock you out... 😴
