I had some 221B Baker Street in this Peterson military bit earlier this evening. Now I'm doing a comparison smoke with Maltese Falcon. I'm looking for the perfect tobacco to go with some 1930s foreign horror films. This may take some more research.
Sitting on the shady-side back porch before it gets too hot and enjoying some Jamaican Export in a reworked/refurbed Archway while enjoying some fresh brewed java in a cup my wife had made for me last Christmas...
Enjoying some Paladin Black Cherry in a bent Missouri Meerschaum hardwood. Paladin is either underrated or the reviewers are dissing it for being what it is, burley, virginia and some serious black cherry flavoring. It's a nice finish after the pipe of Borkum Riff original I had earlier.
Man it's hot here in the St. Louis area! 3 days in a row of heat advisories. Doing a short bowl of 50/50 Paladin Black Cherry with Lane BCA in a little reworked and refurbed MAS...
Celebrating Christmas early this morning. Starting my day with some Cornell Diehl Jolly Old St. Nicholas in my "new" Christmas pipe (a Paronelli), while enjoying my morning coffee...
@Scampi Briar Cigar=Chris Morgan/ Bones Pipes I think TobaccoPipes.com may have some. Cup-O-Joes.com and PipesandCigars.com have them sometimes also. I have seen two or three "estates" on SmokingPipes.com.....I wish I had bought green variegated stained one when I had the chance but this sandblasted one is cool too. As a side note, mine smoked nice and dry to the bottom without a relight the other day with the Savinelli 140th Anni. tobak. There are also vintage "Zepplin" "Sparkless" pipes that come up on EBay sometimes that are a very similar design....as far as smoking them is concerned anyway.
@mapletop I didn't find the Perique overpowering in Innsmouth. It's a different kind of blend, hard to explain. I have to smoke more of it to get more of an opinion on it, but I like it.
My 2019 Cob Nation pipe arrived in the mail today, so I'm breaking it in with C&D's Briar Fox. Normally I'm not a fan of shorter pipes, but this chunky cob has quickly won me over. If you're interested in picking up The Stag, I wouldn't wait, as these don't last forever.
@KA9FFJ thanks man. They are so very comfy and retro. I have like 5 nike sneakers and these are the best for sure.
@thebadgerpiper I am a big fan as well. Here in NC we have hundreds of local breweries so I usually try to stay local but I got a good deal on pints so I grabbed some for the weekend.
So what is this corn cob nation? Sounds like I should be a member too since I love my cobs
@motie2 Gordon, you will learn I am more than just another "pretty face" (he didn't really say that, did he?)......off to 3 youth football games this afternoon, and a high school "fall" baseball game at 1800 hours....no rest for the weery
