Finally cool enough to smoke a bowl after 7am here in Oklahoma. I'm smoking McCrainie's (McClelland) Somerled in one of my favorite cobs (MM Huck Finn).
Some Mclelland’s darkest caramel. I’m in myrtle beach for vacation and went to a cigar shop. Had some on the shelf. I’ll be going back to buy the rest of what he had since they don’t make it anymore. Very smooth sweet smoke.
@Michael308 since you’re in Myrtle Beach there is Low Country Pipe and Cigar in Little River that you should check out if you are interested and you have a chance. Large selection of tobaccos.
@motie2 Went to CSNY Y2K tour concert. Their last performance was here in St. Louis. I loved their music and I loved that concert... Doing some SWR in a Lord Kirk...
H,D SOME LANE BLACK RASPBERRY TODAY, ALSO VANILLA CUSTARD.REALLY HAD A HARD TIME LOGIN IN TODAY, NO GO ON IPHONE AND NEW IPAD. KEPT GETTING WRONG PASSWORD OR USERNAME, DO NOT UNDERSTAND.ONLY ABLE TO GET ON WITH COMPUTER.@motie2. THEIR IS A DOC COMING OUT ON DAVID CROSBY AT SOME POINT, NOT SURE WHEN OR WHERE, SAW ADVERTISEMENT ON TV. SORRY ABOUT ALL THE CAPS.
Smoking some Happy Accident (75% Almost Heaven Almost Heaven – Our most popular blend-smooth burning Golden Leaf Cavendish mixed with fire cured blends and our special ingredient to produce a flavorful, mild, pleasant aroma mixed with 25% latakia ).
Sitting in the porch swing with a bowl of Captain Black Royal while listening to the oldies station on my Sony Walkman. It's 70 degrees and the humidity has dropped back to comfortable. Even though we still have the dog days of August to get through it feels like summer is almost over. The cicadas have already started singing their closing number. The August lilies have broken through the ground.
Smoking some GLP's Haddo's Delight in my Ben Wade Canadian tonight after finding some foul blends in my cellar. At least Haddo's Delight was free from the blight.
Some 4 year old Sutliff: Black Spice B21. Some folks think age doesn't matter with an aromatic, but that's just not true. They change in the jar. This is quite lovely in a Neerup this morning. 79 degrees at Noon and I'm going to hit the front porch with a big glass of ice water.
That Sutliff Black Spice is a winner. I like all their "Black" series tobaccos, and usually anything with the word "spice" in it. It got up into the low 90's again in South Jersey today, after being around 105 on Saturday and Sunday.....no pipes for me over the last weekend. This is Southern New Jersey for Pete's sake (and I am still trying to figure out who the hell is Pete, and why do I care about him?)
@KA9FFJ, nice looking pipe buddy. I also dig the hat. It is something to admire your own hard labor of yard work. Glad you enjoyed some porch time with a pipe on such a beautiful day.
Penzance in a CPF French Briar. It is a Pre HB&B, has an amber stem, gold shank band and rim cap and dates to 1890. I figured why let it sit on a shelf, I should fire that beauty up.
