Had some Lane Limited BCA today, just received 8 ounces of this blend. Made a mistake and got 8 ounces which I usually stay away from as far as ordering one specific blend. Like to spread it around a bit. Like this blend so it was a good mistake.
Well last night I forgot to refill my bags of Maltese Falcon and VBC I've had riding shotgun with me this week. So this morning I found I didn't have enough to fill a whole bowl of either one.... So I decided what the heck, I'll just mix them.... I call it Vanilla Falcon and its awesome lol.
Ok, so I am happy to learn from @motie2, @ghostsofpompeii, @pipeman83 and probably others, that Autumn Evening tastes like licking a cigarette ashtray. I like to believe I am a man of good taste and was starting to wonder. Thanks for confirming this blend and that I still have good taste 😋.
@buflosab yeah good luck trading with B&M.... probably won't happen. You will have better luck trading with someone here or another forum. That's what I did.
Visited a local Tinder Box today. It's about a 25 minute drive, but the wife drops me off while she shops at a HUGE shopping complex called St. Clair Square. I picked up a couple of things including 2 oz. Captain Spice. Enjoyed a bowl in their lounge with a reworked and refurbed Archway and watched most of the movie "Sandlot". Not my first viewing, but still a great movie...
@motie2, That sounds like a winner.Also thought @pwkarch mentioning a mixture of VBC with BCA.As mentioned before I like BCA, however I have to give a slight edge to VBC. I do have some RPL-6 on hand so I can try both mixtures.
@Londy3, Sorry to say I have made a complete turnaround on Autumn Evening, just don’t dig it anymore. Good while it lasted.@mfresa, try mixing it with something and see what happens.
Spending the evening in the garage, smoking C&D's Old Joe Krantz in my Savinelli Billiard. Wish I had a bit more time to enjoy the weekend, but it'll do.
Beechnut I like latakia blends and a little bite. Smoking Punch blend right now and last night was Dunhill's Durbar. Had left off my pipe smoking for years due to lack of time. Started back 6 months ago. Nothing you can smoke is as satisfying as a pipe. Though I like the English style blends I also like Sail (all), Borkum Riff and others. Trying new tobaccos is part of the enjoyment of pipe smoking. I usually give them a letter rating for my taste. If I don't like one I then have the problem of what to do with it? Interesting here, to see a lot of different tobaccos.

Smoking a bowl of Boswell's Best on a '97 Boswell freehand I picked up new. I've been at this a while.
