Just finished a bowl of Sutliff "Christmas Spice" in my Nording Signature Freehand. Hard to save that blend for only the holidays ... I enjoy it year round.
Half and Half in my estate Kaywoodie Flame grain Canadian. Supper was cheese dogs french fries and Pabst Blue Ribbon so Half and Half seemed a good complement.
Well, not right now but late yesterday afternoon. For some reason the nigh before I had a sudden urge for a Cherry flavor pipe experience. Normally I would have pulled out the "read jar" of Lane Red, but I had a diferent idea. I took out the Pallidin Black Cherry and the Prince Albert Cherry Vanilla and mixed them 50/50 and loaded one of my MM Mark Twain cobs and rested it for the night.
Yesterday afternoon I sat outside in the sun and fired that puppy up. I am not sure if the PA toned down the PBC, or the PBC amped the PA, but it was a surprisingly enjoyable smoke. This combo provided a nicely subdued cherry taste and aroma unlike the "in your face" typical PBC experience (which I like occasioanlly). Very tasty, smoky, and burned very well for about 45 minutes or so.
@mfresa ~ I just did an inventory of my tobacco cellar today and came across a tin of Davidoff English Mixture. I haven't tried it yet. Were you disappointed with it or just expecting something different based on tin note?
"Wild Hare" in one of my Corey Pipes. I think it's a Sutliff blend. Hard telling because the back of the tin is marred by the tobacco warnings which cover the manufacturing information. Excellent blend and a perfect all day smoke. Mild as can be.
@Kmhartle - It's hard to explain, but the tin I bought was a couple of years old, as judging by the brown-ness of the paper liner. It had a strong but mellow tin note, definitely latakia leaning, but one can see the Virginia in it. When I smoked it, the latakia seemed subdued, and the Virginia was non-existent in the smoke. So I guess over time the latakia merged with the Virginia, and kind of overpowered it a bit. I was hoping for a bit more Virginia sweetness, and it wasn't there.
Mowed and bagged the yard (9 FULL bags!), trimmed, used the blower. Then cleaned and washed mower and trimmer. NOW it's time for some SWR aromatic In a MM Cob... NICE!
This C&D “Milk & Honey” is kinda strange to me....it must be the dark fired Kentucky? I have not smoked much tobacco with a Dark Fired component. Not sure if I like it🤔......it’s not terrible though....
Just finished a bowl of Mrs Hudson in my Peterson Outdoor nose warmer before church. After church its back to the deck to grill and have a bowl of Hunting Creek.
To celebrate Easter, I opened a 100gram tin of Orlik Golden Slices that had a few years of age on it, not sure how old though I bought it at the NASPC show about 2 years ago and it had some age to it then, smoking it in a Savinelli Autograph.

Funny, just before I scrolled down, I was going to ask if that was a Ben Wade🙂
Out of curiosity, what shape is that Peterson Outdoor?🙂
No outdoor grill’in here, it’s raining rats and frogs😳
