Its frigging snowing; running to the grocery store for the wife which allows the opportunity to have a bowl of C&D Burley Flake #5 in my favorite short trip pipe, a rusticated Peterson system 303 p-lip.
Had a bowl of Bengal Slices on my way home from work this evening. It's the first time I've tried it, and to be honest, I was underwhelmed based on the high praises of reviews. I'm hoping it will grow on me and I'll soldier through the tin. I guess I enjoy more latakia forward blends. First impresssion, this one just isn't winning me over.
Doing some Christmas Spice in a Savinelli Estella 9904. I know it's not Christmas, but I figured; If He wasn't BORN, He couldn't have died, and if He didn't die, He couldn't have risen from the dead! So I guess, indirectly, I'm holding true to the Easter season... 😏
I had a mix of Bengal Slices and Captain Earle's Ten Russians on my way home tonight. I'm determined to finish this tin of Bengal Slices! 😀 I think I still have 3 or 4 tins in my cellar. I bought them on a whim when they were on sale. I'll probably be offering them on the "Tobacco Trade" post in the near future.
Captain Black original in an estate pot I picked up at the local b&m. I saw the bottom of the can when I was filling the bowl. Time to shop for another.

I'm working from home today and my wife left this morning to visit her friend and her sister in Tampa which means I can get away with smoking my pipe indoors all weekend! Who's better than me, huh?! Anyway, Orlik Golden Sliced in one of my favorite Savinellis begins the day. Sweets smokes, all!
@judandhispipe - How do you like that Amphora Original? I recently tried their new Virginia Broken Flake and it’s really good. I’ve wondered how the original blend was.

Final bowl of the day. Trying some Northwest Trek paired with smoked maple bourbon. Back to work in the morning. Already ready to be off again lol
