Backwoods Black and Gold in a bent Missouri Meerschaum and then Paladin black cherry. This is the first time trying any of the Backwoods tobaccos and this seems like it could turn out to be a good all day smoke. Paladin is a blast from the past. I tried it when I took up a pipe at FT Dix and was trying everything in the PX. The last time it smoked hot and wet. This time it was a lot better and more flavorful smoke.
Found this Mr. Heater BIG Buddy heater for 10 bucks at Goodwill! Already have 2 of them, but couldn't pass it up. After trying it out to make sure everything works, I fired up some VG Black Cavendish in a reworked/no name while cleaning it up...
Break in my new Bone Pipe (just received), with C&D Belmont Station. This is a good blend. It is a very mild aromatic and the pipe also looks to be a very good one.
I started the evening with a bowl of half and half in a Dr Grabow Duke. I switched to Haunted Bookshop in a Missouri Meerschaum. I couldn't decide between an English Blend or a cigar so I loded up on of my Italian briers with Key Largo. I finished up the evening with a pipe of Maltese Falcon in an ugly basket Brier that smokes great.
Out running errands today, I enjoyed a bowl of King of Swords in a Carey prince. I also did a deep clean of my most frequently smoked pipes today. Always a satisfying project that I thoroughly enjoy.
Just received some Russ Tartlet, so far I detect a slight fruit taste, not overpowering, haven't been able to figure out other subtle tastes as of yet. Not a bad blend overall. First time trying this blend.
A bowl of Sunset Rum to start my day off. Have Squadron Leader for later in the day. Been a long weekend at work so I figure there will be quite a few bowls smoked today to help get me through.
