Currently smoking Old Joe Krantz in my Charles Towne Cob. I smoked some Lane Ready Rubbed earlier, but I don't know if it was the blend or pipe, but it wasn't agreeing with me. My guess is that it was the pipe, so I'll try LRR again in a cob tomorrow.
Also, updated my pipe blog with a new article on the madness of PAD and TAD. Check it out if you're up for some reading.
@thebadgerpiper. Nice blog., read and like it a lot. You are right about PAD and TAD. I can keep my PAD under control (somehow) but my not my TAD. To make the thing more reasonable, I adopted one tobacco budget, until now it is working, for how long is another question.
I finally got around to mixing BCA, RLP-6, VBC, and Barbados Plantation together, 25% each. SWMBO is in California, so I smoked in the house. We'll see f I live. If the room note was half as satisfying as the smoke itself...... It was transformative. But that's just my opinion; I could be wrong.
Smoking Savinelli's Doblone d'Oro for the first time. Don't know quite how I feel about it. I previously had Lane's 125th anniversary which is also a Virginia/perique blend. Lane's blend is more mild, where the Doblone d'Oro is definitely stronger, but I think I prefer the 125th anniversary...

pwkarch I whole heartly agree with Gordon your tobacco reviews are much better than most on TobaccoReviews.com. It feels like you enjoy tell us why you like and dislike about said tobacco.
C&D Miskatonic Mixture (the old ones) in a Vauen basic bent apple.
This is stuff is indeed different, Black Cavendish, Orientals / Turkish, Perique and Virginia, I can't really describe the taste as it like nothing else I've ever smoked, I do like it. though.
@riobrusa I'm a big fan of Barbados Plantation, a premium rum blend by Sutliff. I'm always looking for another/better rum blend. (BTW, Peterson Nutty Cut ain't it.....) I know C&D to be a quality purveyor: How's the C&D Jamaican Rum?
@motie2. My friend, don't west your time and money with C&D Jamaican Rum. At beginning of January, I bought both, 1 tin of Barbados Plantation and 2oz (bulk) of Jamaican Rum to compare one against other. Of Barbados I like it a lot, smoked all tin in aprox. 1 week and ordered more for cellar but about the Jamaican, still have about 1oz (I don't liked it), smoking it very slowly, because I'm stubborn and have a hope that one day it will be gone.

Thank you. That's exactly the info I was after.
