I was looking at all the pictures posted and the majority have one thing in common - they represent a historic glimpse of the past, when pipe smoking was commonplace and pipe smokers were in abundance. They were war heroes, businessmen, actors, academia, politicians, college students, counter-culture Bohemians, scientists and some of the greatest minds of that generation A well rounded cross-section of humanity, encompassing both rich and poor. Not many current celebrities, or men (or women) of note are represented in the pipe smoking community. Let's make this photographic exercise really difficult and post pictures of pipe smoking celebrities in the 21st. Century.
Can anyone post a photo of Richard Dreyfuss and the pipe he smoked in "Lightkeepers"? There is a glimpse of it in the film, but I can't find a still photo of it. Thanks in advance.
Anthony Quinn in “The Guns of Navarone”. I think this is from a scene where they were climbing the cliffs and there is a heavy rain storm, hence, the upside-down pipe. He is seen smoking his pipe in many of the scenes.
Has anyone else smoked their pipe upside-down in rain? I have while fishing.
