Nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, on spaghetti…Sooo not chili, sounds more like pumpkin pie dessert. To each their own….I would eat it if I was starving, or invited to dinner and it was the only choice on the menu, or if I ever visited “Skyline” (luckily for me, pretty much zero chance of that😬). I like my main courses umami….not fragrantly sweet?
At noon, in Cincinnati, businessmen line up down the block to get Skyline: plain, with cheese and onions,or with spaghetti, cheese and onions. Heretics add beans. Awesome, addictive stuff.
Made a mash-up sorta thing... It's a cross between a chicken lasagna and a Shepherd's pie. Cubed chicken breast, diced tomatoes, cottage cheese, wheat tortillas instead of pasta, peppers jack cheese, onions, mashed potatoes, green peas, and a boatload of spices... It's not bad though.
Dry rubbed tuna steaks, iron skillet pan seared over rice, with Italian herb zucchini, and Pinot grigio. Paired after dinner with C&D Espresso and vodka with lemon 🍋
I loaded up my oldest Rob Roy, I'm pretty sure it's a Legend, with Kensington. I just made a pour over cup of coffee and Amazon is going to deliver our mustard in time to have kielbasa for dinner with a side of potatoes roasted in a cast iron skillet.
Choice Ribeye steak grilled medium rare over hickory, topped with sauteed portobello and onion, served with grilled corn on the cob, Yukon/Kerry Gold mashers and delicious Malbec from Mendoza Argentina.
Tonight we went vegetarian with zucchini pancakes, cappressi salad and Brazilian cheese bread. Hard cider was/is the beverage and Kensington in a Pride completes the meal!
Tonight: Smoked turkey breast served with baked sweet potato cubes and fresh buttered corn. Sipping a nice red wine along with my smokey bear & lounge cigar.
