Well, we already know rabbits can attack humans in this manner--that's been documented for well over a thousand years now, so why not squirrels? I'll bet it's linked to climate change!
One of my uncles got bit by a rabbit while hunting back in the 70s and was infected with a "rabbit fever". In defense of the rabbit, it was probably pissed because it had been shot and my uncle was trying to put it in his game bag.
The French on the castle wall would be my second favorite. ”Filthy English Kniggits” ”I fart in your general direction” ”Now leave before I taunt you a second time.” 😂😂😂
Okay, so my local newspaper published this list of Delta 8 THC addiction symptoms. When you see the words THC and/or Delta 8 and/or drug, replace them with "pipe smoking" or some form of that phrase to fit.
It appears that I'm addicted to pipe smoking according to this list, LOL
Drug addiction "counselors" and psychologists are idiots--most of this crap you can apply to everyday stuff, like eating.
The site list the side effects of THC addiction as:
Continuing to use THC or delta-8 to avoid withdrawal symptoms
Needing to increase the dose consumed to feel high
Struggling to focus, sleep, or eat unless high
Spending excess time and money on the drug
Mental preoccupation with delta-8 THC use
Planning work and social activities around drug use
Lying to friends and family about substance use
Having mental cravings for delta-8
Continuing to use delta-8 despite worsening problems at school, home, work, or with one’s health
Inability to control one’s use or cut back on the amount used
LOL, that's hilarious! To be honest, in this day and age when you construct an exam you have to be aware of things like this. First, I wouldn't have used a Roman numeral to number the question because college students these days wouldn't know what it meant (e.g., does IV equal four or does VI equal four).
I once answered a question a student asked in class about numbering their answers and I told them to use Arabic numerals...well, all I saw was a bunch of I's and V's and X's, and hardly any coincided with the ordinal relationship to the question LOL (so the answer to question three would be marked IX or something).
Anyway, I probably would have consciously used either (i), (ii) and (iii) or (a), (b) and (c) for this very reason!
@vtgrad2003; I can relate, Brother. As I recall I revised tests almost every semester to offset fuzzy interpretations. The longer I taught the dumber they seemed to get. The college went through a phase of pre-tests and post-tests which justified the positions of some worthless bureaucrats in administration. I actually had some students do better on the pre-course tests than the post-course tests. The only conclusion that can be arrived at is that I made them dumber at the end than they were at the beginning. Is it any wonder that i retired at 68.
Looks like we have more in common...I taught for Colorado Tech University for a number of years, associate professor. Worked with NC State, Cleveland State, Wake Tech and others. 🎓
@Londy3@opipeman@vtgrad2003 we may need to create a support group for higher education professionals who smoke pipes. I was an adjunct faculty member of the Rochester institute of Technologies school of American Crafts.
Our oldest granddaughter, Bailee, is 12 years old and loves to play softball. She's been the starting catcher on her teams for the last three years. In the last inning of her game last night, she went to the plate with the bases loaded and her team down by one run. It was a perfect pitch and she sent it to the fence. Her first Grand Slam.
@opipeman That's pretty much true. One old military joke was, "How do you tell the difference between a fairy tale and a sea story? The fairy tale starts once before a time and a sea story starts "this is no shit."

Don't know if any of you have ever seen a dust storm, but Lubbock's having one. I used to live in Lubbock, and I liked it there...even the dust storms were interesting, albeit annoying. The worst ones were the "mudders" where it rains during one of these...leaving an inch of mud all over your house and cars.
@Londy3vtgrad2003; @Zouave; I am a firm believer in Quality higher education. In my mind there is little difference between education and training. So much of it is perceptions and stigmas about whether you make your living setting down or standing up.
There's an old saying in academia--these days it's politically incorrect to say it but it's still true regardless: "we teach to the 10% that actually want to be there...the other 90% is just along for the ride". If I had to guess, over my career, at least 60% of the students I "teach" shouldn't be there, either because not everyone is cut out for a 4-year degree or they simply don't want to be there. There's a place for nearly everyone in our workforce and the trades often pay very well (remember, I used to own a drywall company in a former life), it's a shame that some of my students would rather spend their post grad experience working in a Verizon store selling phones than working a trade where they can make a hell of a lot more money and actually accomplish something in their lives.
@vtgrad2003; I think my experience showed a higher percentage of students that wanted to be there. Some were already career firefighters and were looking to prepare for promotions. Some were wanting to become firefighters. I can't estimate percentages. I guess if I was honest with myself my career was spent somewhere between higher education and trade school. I truly aimed for higher education, but it is hard for me to be objective.

It's all theater to make voting look legitimate so they can get the next tyrant in office.

Great idea. This December I will have been retired for 10 years, thank God. This Pipe Life is my support group.

Bet the paint job your cars don't last too long either. It definitely would not pay to have a real nice car driving in a dust/sand storm.
