The united states government does NOT have your best interest with YOUR money. The government is one of the most corrupt in the world. The People should DEFUND the government for lack of representation, fire all elected employees and start over under the direction of We The People.
@vtgrad2003 I am reasonably certain it was political hyperbole to get attention. And, of course, create a media firestorm of liberals exclaiming that prices in Louisiana are below the national average. That overlooks the truth that Biden and the democrats anti-American, anti-business policy has driven us into the worst economy in decades.
I had some jamoke back into my yard last night at about 8:30PM and help himself to my broken water heater. My camera caught him, but I didn’t😖. Man I wish I would have. It pisses me off about the wanton trespassing, but he actually did me a favor by hauling it off. I’d still press charges for criminal trespass if I can find him and his van. All he had to do was use some common courtesy and ask my permission, heck I might have given a few bucks to haul it off. I really hope I see that van/person again and get a plate number.
@Londy3; Think about who is next in line and who is next after that. If he picked Harris with the idea that will discourage impeachment, he is an evil genius.
@RockyMountainBriar Break-ins have greatly increased and desperate people will do desperate things. It's likely to very bad this fall and winter when they purposely cut off supply chains especially for food and that already started. Where is your alert on that camera?
@Londy3 It comes to my phone, but since I am partially deaf, the ambient noise has to be very low for me to hear it. I was talking with my buddy in Tennessee at the time and my good ear was covered with the headset. I didn’t look at my alerts until we were through playing WoT online…at about 1:00 AM. I think Felix (my cat) was trying to alert me though…if I could only “speak” cat better. I’m pretty good, thinking back, he was making a fuss at that time. Heck, if the window had been at eye level while I was sitting at my computer, I would have been looking directly out at the trespasser/thief/uninvited salvage hauler when it happened. It took him less than two minutes, there and gone.
I think a few rounds from my full-auto paintball gun would have been hilarious….until the cops showed up and cited me for shooting a paintball gun in town and whatever else they would slap on me. I’m pretty sure I would come out way, way worse than the thief/trespasser if that had happened though. I really would have liked to have done that, had I caught him. Sadly, I’m smarter than that and would not have, a guy can dream though.
@RockyMountainBriar; It isn't the value of what was stolen, but the feeling of being violated. I don't understand why anyone would steal a used hot water heater? It isn't a hanging offence, but what is the value? Keep your powder dry, Brother!
@pipeman83 Maybe they are worth more than I think as scrap? Some sheet metal and insulation doesn’t seem like it would be worth anything. I stripped the copper and brass fittings, the only thing that was left that had some value was a thermocouple that was only a year or two old. I was going to take it off, but didn’t feel like getting my small wrenches out, it just wasn’t worth it in December when I had to put in the new water heater….that was my Christmas present to myself by the way. I kinda like hot showers in December😉
@RockyMountainBriar years ago my friend was renovating his bathroom and had set a claw foot bathtub on the front lawn right before he carried it up two flights of stairs, and while he was getting things ready to bring it on up, some asshole pulled up in a pickup and stole the damn tub in broad daylight!

Hot water heater, bathtub, am I the only one that sees a pattern here?
