@jim102864 Finding the tapes in an old plastic bin in the garage was pretty cool. But equally as cool was that some were restorable. Sadly the bulk of the recordings were completely awash. Considering we probably had about 30 songs that were laid out in the studio awaiting completion, only a dozen were salvageable enough to work with. Then there were reels and reels of tunes recorded in the basement during rehearsals and practice sessions which were eventually part of our repertoire that we never got around to recording in the studio ... a lot of material completely lost.
I had several pipe smoking sessions that were vital to clearing my mind during the making of this new beat mix. Does that count? It’s all original Electronic music composed by myself. Sort of an 80’s/Punk/Jungle mash up. There are some rock tracks on the main Numbskull Brigade page as well.
Joe: Pretty neat music....that sounds like a real tight group. Great guitar solo, great bass, and great drums. The front man has a really good voice and delivery......thanks for sharing.
@pwkarch This is a great American group that actually deserves to be in the same ranks as American bands like Kansas, Styx, as well as the established British prog groups. Their biggest problem is the fact their from Cleveland Ohio, hardly a hotbed of progressive rock. The have (I believe) five albums out. One of which is a live album with a second disc that is a DVD of their concert. Over the years as a reviewer for the Prognaut Review site I developed a relationship with the band and discovered what great guys they are. I wish I could do more to promote them but I was having enough of a problem trying to promote my own music. A word from me might be the kiss of death.
@Londy3 damn! I should’ve thought of that. Lol. 134 was the tempo of the first track I made. The project is going to be a trilogy of rooms. I’m possibly making it a short story type series or comic book to go with the music.
@mfresa I love classical orchestral music but never could get into opera. Which is a shame since I'm Italian and a lot of operas are Italian. My taste lean more towards orchestral soundtracks - and nothing beats a filmscore from composer like Bernard Herrmann. I could listen to his work all day long.
For me it is usually Blues or Reggae on satellite radio. I miss my Tejano they no longer play. I think the channel was called Aguila or something like that. I sometimes fire up Cajun Radio out of St. Charles, Louisiana on RadioPup.
@RockyMountainBriar - Don't know if you've ever heard any of his music but Tab Benoit is a fine representation of Louisiana Swamp Music which is different than Zydeco and the old style Cajun folk music.
