@motie2 I've seen a pipe similar to that but the bowls were in a fore and aft position instead of port and starboard. It was at a flea market and priced way too high for the condition of the pipe. The booth caretaker said he was told the design was so that you could smoke both bowls at the same time or smoke them one at a time. If I remember correctly, the asking price was around $75.
Not sure what I think of that one. I want to dislike it, but think it's pretty interesting and not all together unappealing. I think I would like it better sans base.
Savinelli just sent me an email with a few of their special edition sets. I have been looking at the smooth “Foresta” pipes since they debuted awhile back. This set is pretty darn nice. It’s a bit out of my wallet range, but dang!
@RockyMountainBriar Tell me Savinelli doesn't know how to hook a pipe smoker! Holy cow, I'd love to have one. Tell you what, you go ahead and buy it for me and I'll owe you for it. I'd much rather owe you than cheat you out of it. 😏
If I had “extra cash just laying around,” that SWMBO was not aware of, I’d probably succumb to my TAD rather than my PAD (which has grown enfeebled by age). It’s easier to slip tobacco past her, rather than a new pipe. And, of course, it would have to be a Carey, and the only Carey I lust after is the saucer-shaped bowl, which eBay auction I blew out my tuchas several years back. It went for around $39.00 as I recall, and I’ll never forgive myself. But the rum is causing me to babble, so….. adios
I need someone to procure some Koiki Kizami for me. I have a few Kiseru’s I’d like to try the correct tobacco in. The finest shag cut tobacco I have is still about 3-4 times thicker cut than Kizami. I still haven’t been able to get my cousin and her Japanese husband to bring some back from Japan for me. It’s been a few years since they have visited his family in Japan.

I didn't buy it.
That style of pipe is probably produced and promoted by the pipe tobacco industry.
Think about it... Twice the tobacco per smoke. 😏
Did you have to make your wife hide all your extra cash so you couldn't "pull the trigger"? 😏🤭
As if.
I’d like to see it off of its base. It looks kinda cool to me.

Niiiice, brother.
I might be able to afford one... I wonder if he'd be willing to break the set up? Yea, like that's going to happen...
😏
Readers Digest version: it’s a very fine shag.
