@vtgrad2003 it's not all just used estate pipes. I think when the little old ladies unload all the dead husbands "junk" they don't even look to see what it is. I say this knowing that at some point I'm sure my wife will unload piles of my junk some day not realizing the amount of money I have spent on all of it. 😂
@vtgrad2003 this was an unsmoked Orlik Prince Regent still in it's original box that I got in a Goodwill bundle. You just have to have the patience to scroll through alot of garbage. It does seem like the word is out though as the bids keep getting higher. When the site first came out there were some real bargains.
@mfresa Totally agree, he has his own style and due to his location (the best Morta in the world) he gets to work with the best that material (bog oak) has to offer.

Most of the pipes I own are bent, just my preference because of the way I like to smoke, I have a few straight pipes but this one speaks to me, what a beautify.
However at $2,700.00 the only way I will own a pipe like this is if I make it myself.
It looks like Savinelli has some new lines out. They have their standard 2022 series which is annual, but aside from that they have come out with the following lines:
Foresta (rusticated and smooth) Granola (rusticated and only granola-eating women with hairy armpits are allowed to buy these) Morellina (rusticated and smooth) Pulcinella (rusticated and smooth)
Yep, a couple of those stems are ugly for sure. What market/demographic are they targeting? I have no idea. I mean, if this was the 20's in the midst of the Art Deco craze, they would fit right in.
Load it with SG “Black XX” and it might kill you…or at least make you see things? I love one of the tobacco reviews left for “Black XX” on tobacco reviews.com.😂😂😂 This is what the reviewer said:
I guess strength and flavor are matters of personal opinion after all. Whether you will find this as potent as I did remains for you to decide.
All I know is that I loaded a group three sized bowl fully dressed and in my right mind. At the end of my smoke, I found myself clothed in nothing but my BVD's and hiding behind an avocado tree in my backyard warding off fruit rats with a pen knife.
Do you find that your regular Missouri Meerschaum cobs, e.g., a diplomat, country gentleman, etc., tend to char more inside the bowl than the custom cobs? I'm finding that rather consistently, but these could be outliers, I was just wondering.
@vtgrad2003 I've noticed that some of the acrylic stem cobs get more coating and lacquer which sometimes gets into the bowl and might cause charring.
I hate the taste that the acrylic imparts in tobacco and tend to shy away from the ones I have. I'll also swap stems with a broken in pipe that way I can enjoy the taste of a new cob and have a few break in smokes in the older one.

Is that briar? It doesn't seem tight-grained enough to me...
Nevermind. Should have read the article first.
Petrified Oak Wood...
I'll have to start perusing that site then if you're finding new stuff on there...thanks for the heads-up!
I love Davorin pipes. His style is unique, and his craftsmanship is top notch. Wish I could afford one.....
I think he'll make one for me for about $400.
Foresta (rusticated and smooth)
Granola (rusticated and only granola-eating women with hairy armpits are allowed to buy these)
Morellina (rusticated and smooth)
Pulcinella (rusticated and smooth)
You can check them out at https://www.smokingpipes.com/pipes/new/savinelli/index.cfm?update_id=2074&page=1
As I posted in another thread, some of the stems are just too damn ugly.
I would like a 2016 Savinelli Anni. though, I like the 2019 and 2021’s too.
Looking at them again, I guess the Foresta and Morellina are not that bad. I’d let friends see me smoking them🤔

If one is prone to nicotine sickness, that pipe should do the trick...😏

Tasty
Now THAT is an impressive chunk of briar!... I also love that shank extension/stem mount...

Good point! Thanks!
Winslow: Smooth Bent Dublin
I’m not generally a fan of those organic shapes, but that’s a nice piece of briar.
What was the selling price on that one?
