@motie2 I have a Brebbia twin that is a great smoker. It comes with a shank extension so it can be used as a churchwarden or as a regular length pipe. Wouldn't mind trying another Brebbia style if the opportunity came up.
@keystnlabs, if you are serious about finding a big carved meerschaum, EBay would probably have a few. One of my local tobacconists has a few large carved meers in stock too….If you make a road trip to Billings Montana anyway.
@PappyJoe’s Castle and Ship are around that size, my Dragon comes close🙂.
” Tom and his team handcraft each bowl from Italian briar in their workshop in Copenhagen. The saddle stems are made to Tom's exacting specifications, then machined and finished by hand.”
That's on my acquisition list when it's in stock at Smoking Pipes and there's a tobacco sale I can't resist. When it comes to cob shapes I like the Rob Roy, Morgan and Diplomat in that order.
Question for anyone: I know that the Rossi Notte line itself is relatively new--started in 2019, but is this finish different from what it used to be? Seems like you can see more graining than usual on these pipes...others in this new batch on SP show the same thing. Maybe Rossi is using nicer briar with more translucency in an attempt to produce more aesthetic pipes. On another (related) note, I've also noticed that Sav's are gradually going up in price...maybe their plan is to enhance the Rossi brand and push Sav's to higher end? I know that Rossi has always been the Toyota to Sav's Lexus, but maybe they are pushing that relationship even further up the food chain (so to speak)? (By the way, this pipe is only $64.)
Did somebody say they needed a “Big Pipe”? Take a gander at this Ser Jacopo (Maxima, Maxima, Maxima, Maxima, Maxima, Maxima) yep, that’s six, count’em six Maxima stamps. It’s on SmokingPipes.com. #002-171-3366

AKB Meerschaum: Carved Cobra (I. Baglan) (with Case)
It smokes incredibly well! Definitely not the last pipe I will be purchasing from Corey.

I like the Beav! I was named BB Cleaver at birth and luckily adopted including change of name.

I saw those Rossi pokers pop the other day and thought they looked very nice, the briar grade and finish look great for a $69-$70 pipe.
