@johnspecht I like those. I looked the catalog up (since you didn't supple the link) and sent it to my wife. Told her it could be a birthday present since they are out of stock.
My bad! I'm still kinda new at the Internet forum thing and forgot to provide the link. Glad you found it anyway. I hope a pair of these come your way soon with much enjoyment!
Those look perfect for the tobacco smoke “cocktail, fuming the inside over a little pile of your favorite burning tobacco then adding your favorite spirit. I need to try that sometime, I need to get me a piece of tile to burn the tobacco on 🤔
So Smoking pipes latest e-mail was highlighting White Spot pipes and after perusing the inventory I was surprised at the number of pipes that actually looked like Peterson shapes / designs.

If you look at opium pipes (I read that the Dutch introduced the smoking of opium to the Chinese) they are different, they have a way to heat the opium from below to vaporize it rather than burn it. It requires a “special” opium lamp. At times in Japan long steel Kiseru were used as weapons for self protection, people (Samauri) were forbidden to carry swords.
@motie2 He's gonna have to start going shorter in his pipe lengths... I don't think he can go much longer, unless he incorporates a second person to help him smoke...😬
I dunno . . . I've seen those pictures/drawings of African and Asian pipes with two "feet" to hold the bowl up off the floor. Some of them seem to be gawdawful long.

I’m not sure what the “in re:“ is about?
